Is consuming Methylone 18h after a DXM trip safe?

hello ED,

yesterday i tripped on 500mg dxm and planned to consume methylone soon.
afaik dxm acts as SSRI, which causes to inhibit MDMAs effects.

now i d like to know if it s possible to have effects out of methylone that fast after the trip and if it is kind of safe to do.

I have never heard of DXM acting as an ssri...I think you are mistaken.

The danger of combining MDMA and DXM is the risk of hyperthermia. but that risk is only extreme enough when combining the 2 at the same time. Dex is realatively short lived in the body. I would bet you would be fine to have MDMA the day after...but I would wait a few days just to be sure.

I am not 100% sure but I think there is a seretonin release that comes with the DXM experience ( thought it is far far less than that caused by MDMA) so you may want to wait a week or so just so you seretonin can build back up but. If you don't you could notice that the MDMA experience is not as strong as you hoped.

Dextromethorphan DOES act as a non selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor. I'm not exactly sure what the effects would be when mixing with bk-MDMA but it's generally not a good idea to mix anything that effects serotonin with DXM. The results are often disastrous.

I'd recommend taking a longer break. I'm unsure of how quickly DXM gets metabolized but from my experience, large amounts tend to have me not feeling back to normal for over 24 hours.

Thanks, yes, I already did it anyway, the empathogen part were lessened and it ended this way:

yes, with 250mg bk-mdma, 100mg 1 1/2h later and 150mg 1h later.
my stomach had been full of food so everything metabolized slower, also i took 450mg dxm a day before.
had been rolling 10hours + 2 hours comedown which is a lot with methylone...

bk-mdma started changing the color of my environment with the color of music videos and in some point everything fucked over, the walls had 1000 visuals of screaming faces, demon girls showing all over my vision, various other screaming faces on my screen and everytime i watched the picture of an human he always looked awful, like eye rings, pickles and venes showing massively.
also i feeled that my body parts changed size, sometimes my teeths felt like break down or like they dissappeared, one time i smelled rotten eggs and i had the usual trippy thinking.

definitely crazy and it made me deal with it, still i d been annoyed by the visuals.

Sidenote: I ve HPPD from JWH-122, so this is probably kind of comparable.

Could it be possible that I horrible overdosed because I didn t feel the empathogen effects and the dopamin-release did his worse?
I just looked at a dark corner of my room and the whole room started acting sinister ... :/
