Is Bluelight dying ?

I have not noticed a significant decline over the years that I've been here. Granted I hadn't been worried about a decline so I wasn't looking.... I come and go, guilty, but life calls, psychiatric disorders get me locked in inpatient treatment facilities very often and for long periods of time & drug addiction gets me into rehab once every couple years for a half decent amount of time. Honestly when I'm depressed/severely anxious I can't be here for whatever reason either. This all being said, when I'm here, there's really no place I'd rather be. I will say that there are a lot of strong personalities, not that I'm innocent, and most of the time being a more anxious type I feel as though what I say won't have value; or the other 5% of the time I'll be way way too high/on a bad addictive bender and arrogantly my authority on issues I do know a lot about, but really know nothing about because nobody honestly knows anything about anything. IDK here's to hoping that blue light stays strong. Accurate information about chemicals provided by knowledgable and community oriented individuals is invaluable and I hope that people can come here and find help, support, and useful information. I know it helps me to answer questions or throw my two cents in. Cheers
 
It will be for me if I keep typing halfway lengthy replies, which then get lost because I have to refresh the page, log back in, and poof...My post is gone...:X Is this a glitch? Cause its the reason I would help kill the place, I'm just 1 person, so who gives a shit

When you log in, tick the 'remember me' box below the username and password boxes. You should find that you will be able to finish lengthy replies without getting automatically logged out for inactivity. Then log out manually when you are finished.
 
Hi. Im from Australia. I dont bother with Aus Social as its dead. Even when it wasnt, I found it boring and shit.

EADD is more funner even for people not involved or in the area.

A large proportion of any fault is the members who gave up posting for whatever reason and come back to lurk and just whinge how shit it is now instead of actually participating.


If you have moved on then fine. Just dont post once every year and have that be a complaint
 
Id like to state for the record that One thousand words has helped me personally when in a very suicidal state and having a place to be more open anout drug use and other personal issues like bl is harm reduction.

Its not the classic type hr like advising on not mixing certain drugs etc but you can google that shit.

Here you can make friends and relax . Its good to have a diversion when life gets serious.
 
I like Busty too though he can come across as a bit of a dick =D his message gets lost in that kind of communication style. But he's got a lot of positive things to say about HR and the "negative" stuff about BL. He's intelligent enough to come up with solutions and a better way of doing things.... But that troll in him loses the message.

I find him interesting, l like chatting to him and finding out more about the real him. If only you didn't come across as a tosser so much Busty <3

Some of the mods (read smod) here can be a right cunt to him. Instead of trying to get the best out of him, they just tell him to fuck off etc.

He's a valuable asset to BL, maybe if we treated him with more respect he'd troll less?

It's good to hear he helped you Zephyr. I like to hear positive comments here in EADD, especially after such a difficult time. We need more positivity!!! Xxx

Busty and i are cunts to each other. His schtick is just is bit old and overplayed, so mine seems edgier ;)

I don't think members lacking respect for busty is the reason he trolls the forum; it's more like the other way around.
But a lot of the banter is all in good fun; i simply object to certain buttons being pushed (such as wind-ups based upon talking shit about deceased members).

It would be a mistake to take my bluntness completely literally.
I know that otw is capable of rational discussion, humour and compassion - but also that he chooses not to show that side of his online persona a lot of the time - which is as ironic as his habit of criticising bluelight for not taking a tough-love stance in harm reduction.

I dont think busty trolls this forum. Hes part of it and like what he says or no, hes very interesting. Hes been around for years. Hes actually very cool.

Droppy could take a lesson. Its better to have a debate over anything with someone who has more to say than something about t levels or whining about SJW- not that hes answered my q as to what one actually is.

Whatever. If bl is going up consumers nose at least i get to slide down his throat!

As I was writing that post it did strick me I wasn't mention the humour aspect. You both make me laugh so yep you're correct. Maybe I take it too seriously, maybe it's a cultural thing - you and him aren't euro. No offence by that as I love our Aussie posters. X

'Googling that shit' is actually what brought me here Zephyr :).

I was told a lot of conflicting things about drugs when I was younger. Eventually, I realised that a lot of what I was being told was coming from people who either had some underlying agenda or had blindly believed every piece of misinformation that was passed on to them. Either way, I stopped listening and figured that the only way to find things out was through personal experience.

I still believe that to be true, to an extent.. I just don't think that I would have put myself in some of the reckless situations that I did had I of been told the truth to begin with.

That is what I like about Bluelight; people can come here to share experiences without the fear of social stigma or legal consequence.. give others the chance to make more of an informed decision about what they're doing.

I know that it isn't guaranteed to have a 100% success rate and everyone has a different view of what 'harm reduction' is but I think now more than ever it is important that people have somewhere like this that they can go to ask questions or just be around like-minded people.

Spending your days surrounded by yes men and pleases can insulated one from the rest of society. My opinions may not be held by the majority of normal citizens outside of bluelight but compared to the junky rhetoric that gets circle jerked around here, would be consider some what moderate in its message.

I don't know what zephyr is talking about. I must have been black out drunk what ever I did for her kind words. ;)

Busty you post a lot on BL, your an active member (with loads of posts) and hold strong opinions that I'm sure have a positive impact on people here. So some respect that. You spent too much time here and return repeatedly.

So why are you here, why do you keep coming back?
