is amps/stims have the same effects on ADD/ADHD people as people without it?

Edit - misunderstood the thread purpose.

Individuals with legitimate ADD/ADHD will experience less recreational effects from these substances than those without it because it is treating an actual imbalance,

well i got adhd... and addys dont make me speed like most people..i just focus and not wanna talk to nobody or not eat...

but when i did coke back n the days i got high off it i dont know if it effected me the same but im sure it was close cuz i was actin the same way as my friends

I got legitimately diagnosed with ADD (non hyperactive), and prescribed Ritalin. When I took them, either by eating them, chewing them or snorting them I got equally as "charged" as any of my friends would. The effects of the drugs just so happen to solve/treat the side effects of "ADHD", but there's no specific correlation. People who already can focus well, and aren't restless, will just focus better, and be more productive. I've literally seen dozens of other people take these un-prescribed to study or for recreation for the record.

It's a question of dosage, those who take amphetamines or methylphenidate regularly for helping them concentrate as in ADD just spikes their tolerance up and the recreational effects are much less prevalent. I think you'll be hard pressed to find someone that a reasonable dose of amphetamines doesn't make feel uppity.

I'm dx'd with ADD, I used to get speedy on adderall but that was because I took way too much in recreational situations, in the right dose it's very relaxing and makes my brain feel like it's working the way it should. Still Dexedrine is better, less jittery side effects if you take too much.

Now that I need my script for my ADD I don't often go above what's prescribed, I hate running out early because it's much harder for me to get things done, it takes a few days to be able to function normally after I run out.

What's everyone preferred/typical adderall dosage and are you diagnosed?

Prefer the IRs over XRs just because you have more options as far as how you can take it.

I was diagnosed with borderline moderate ADD,not severe aka the doctor was afraid of a typical 20 yr old college kid getting addicted to amphs so he said my ADD wasn't severe enough for me to get any regularly prescribed medicine at least by him. I plan on getting a 2nd opinion.

Anyways I have 2 good friends with medium size scripts (60/month), I prefer the 30mg IRs(generic pink), however lately I have been stuck with the 20mg XRs(Orange /w beads). The IRs will keep me focused on absolutely anything I want to focus on, however dosing one 30mg will some times have me back to normal maybe 3 hours later, 5-8 hours most times. The XRs I crush the beads inside the capsule, sniff (not all at once I get 5 "ok" size lines out of the whole capsule). Spreading those 5 lines out throughout a typical day dosing every 4 hours will easily have me up 24 hours. I actually just got 3 20 XRs on Wednesday Night, I've had 5 hours of sleep(4hrs last night) since then. Additionally I feel like when I just take the XRs orally or do the powder all at once it lasts me 6-12 hours but it is not as strong, I stay focused but it doesn't compare to the IRs imo.
