Is a bad trip on LSD inevitable?

There was a poll to the effect of "Have you ever had a bad trip?" About half of the trippers who voted had. So I'd say it's not inevitable. It depends on the person, and it also depends on the what kind of trips they take. I've already had two and they were my second and third trips consecutively. Neither of them were on acid though.

I find it very hard to imagine a bad acid trip at anything less than a pretty strong dose, like 200mics plus.

I had a trip where I was very troubled by negative thoughts which had been bothering me when I was sober. I don't know if that's what you mean though, since it was more a neurosis thing than a "holy shit my reality" thing. I'd think it would be pretty hard to avoid having at least one trip, as a regular psychedelic user, in which you were troubled by negative thoughts.

Never had a bad trip on LSD fortunately, after probably 100+. It such a subjective thing though really, one person's "bad trip" can be another's learning experience, spinning it into something positive.

4-AcO-DMT/mushrooms are way more prone to cause a bad trip for me. Lots of introspective picking apart my ego, identifying, isolating, and examining aspects of my personality that I'm not 100% comfortable with. Even these are ultimately rewarding as I feel more whole upon reflection.

And then sometimes shit just happens. Last night my darling wife fed my dog 2-3 grapes during the come down from a 4-AcO-DMT experience and grapes can be toxic to dogs. So we had to induce vomiting and bring him to a 24-hour emergency care vet. Even this did not give me a "bad trip" but I can't say it how I envisioned the experience working out.

^ Apologies for getting off-topic, but I would say that it's overkill to induce vomiting and get emergency help for a dog that ate 2-3 grapes. I'm pretty sure the grape toxicity only applies if your dog gets into a whole bushel of them. Dogs are much heartier than you think -- chocolate is supposedly one of the worst killers for dogs, and mine got into a pan of double-chocolate brownies, ultimately consuming about 2/3 of the entire pan, without even flinching. My ignorant family never got the dog any help.

My wife and I could not live with ourselves if we poisoned our dog while on drugs, realized they were toxic, and did not have the foresight to bring him to the vet. He's a baby . . . priceless.

iv never had a bad lsd experience either, the most intense ego dissolving experiences are my favorite actually, lsd can be overwhelming if your not prepared for sure but compared to some potent mushrooms imo its easier to control yourself.

mushrooms will make me want to move around rapidly at times and act out and be loud, there was this one experience where i had zero control rolling around the floor just running my mouth about nothing playing with cigarette butts pouring 2ce capsules in the floor lol i would never do this on lsd.

one of my "bad" well what id call a bad trip is ripping some dank og kush out a really nice 2 ft on the come up of 30mg of 2ce while in a environment iv never been in pretty much out in public. i ended up in a very bad mind state filled with negativety, couldnt breath, mind was racing like i never ever have had before, my mind was going so hard i wished i would had died at times it was terrible but i pulled through made it back home felt like shit but was happy it started dieing down. i was looping fuckin hard as shit, i couldnt tell my buddy where i was on the phone it was like he kept on saying the same thing and id just be like wtf lol, felt like i was on a constant whip it i got tired of hearing echos actually.

i learned my lesson with that though it was my fault it happened.
