is 5-MeO-DALT safe to combine with benzos(xanax)??

hello friends, I quite didnt know where to post this, but I am in need of some serious information as quickly as possible!

well I have a script to .5 and 1.0 mg alprazolam(xanax)...which is a benzodiazepene.

and the other day, I picked up some 5dalt(5-MeO-DALT), which I believe is a psychedelic tryptamine, with hallucinogenic, empathetic, and euphoric properties, from what Ive read and heard.

I have never tried it before, or any RC's, and have never even had the chance to trip on anything real intense mostly for the fact of quality(bunk or weak) tabs and mushies. but the list of closest types of chemicals I have done/tried well....I have had a low dose shroom, and DXM trip, once each, and have used ketamine at least a dozen or so times. maybe two dozen. have gotten into a K-Hole maybe once or twice, and have thizzed dozens upon dozens of times, with mostly pure MDMA, a few times MDA(my only visual trip, very minor and mellow though), occasionally mixed with amp's or caffine....oh and one time I tripped off DMT accidentally before I even knew what that was, scared the fuck out of me for a whole month, blacked out, went to hell, talked to an alien satan entity...etc...etc... you know the drill. but that is a story for another time, and doesnt help me AT ALL, for I didnt know WHAT THE HELL TO DO DURING AND AFTER IT HAPPENED....lol. anyways.

so yes, I have very little REAL psychedelic/hallucinogenic experience first hand. :(

but the reason Im asking is I want to know if it is safe and NOT-lethal to combine these two chems, Im having very hard time finding info on this RC on any really, with benzos, like xanax.

I need it because Im prone to paranoia/anxiety/panic sometimes(AND SOBER, mind you, not while fucked up), and this leads to hypertension and heart problems and palpitations, which are not only scary mentally but also physically, and I would not like to die to lets say having a panic attack on the trip or from a bad reaction of the drug and having a heart attack, or something. :p

I plan to take .5-1.0 mg of xanax an hour or two before dosing the 5dalt, and then taking what is supposed to be a capsule of 30mg 5dalt w/ my girl. I plan to take only half [(+/-)15mg], and then take the rest if im fine mentally and more importanly physically(my heart especially, and anything else bad to look for I suppose...).

any information, links, or trip reports would be GREATLY appreacited, and soon please!

You'll be fine.. You may experience some what of a dullness to the trip.. but then again maybe you wont.

I don't see any physically harm coming from this combo in terms of drug interaction
 
thank you. I did it, and me neither my girlfriend felt barely if anything at all. I was told it was 5-meo-dalt pure, 30mg, which I assumed wouldve had us tripping balls. my girl said she felt some tingling in her legs, and we both agreed it felt like we kinda were coming up on a low dose MDMA roll, felt kinda sensual, similiar to rolling, we fucked, and all effects went completely away(not that there was much to begin with even, ha probably just placebo.) so either it was bunk, he cut it, or we need a much higher dosage.

what do you guys think?

Ive read that dosage varies from person to person...but idk...
ill either get 4 caps this time(yesteray we took one each), or some 2C-I or maybe its 2C-E.

The problem with xanax and 5-meo-dalt, there is not much of a trip, so its mostly the body sensations, but Alprazolam will take away almost all of those effects. Another thing I have noticed about Xanax is that it takes away the excitement of coming up on a trip, which in return causes less nor-epinephrine to be released. This is what I think takes a direct toll on the trip, maybe more so than with Phenethylamines. But to answer your question, there should be no bad cross reaction between the two compounds. I would actually suggest to anyone who trips to always keep 2 2mg pills of Alprazolam. You never know when you may need it, but its possible it saves you trip to the hospital due to a bad trip.
 
If your on a daily dose of benzo's you may need a higher dose of the 5-MeO-DALT then what you took. I'd go with something like 50-60mgs once you have given yourself some time for your tolerance to the DALT to go down. When I was using the 5meo more frequently though it wouldn't be uncommon for me to take a 100mgs. The benzos your on are going to dull out the experience a bit so all i can say is try to dose a little higher and see how it works out.

People respond very variably to the dosing of this substance as well. Ive seen some people take 30mgs and trip really good and some take the same amount to no effect. The purity of whats going around also seems to fluctuate quite a bit, from being fairly weak to potent. By that I mean 30mg's of one batch will seem like 60-70mgs of another.

Its been in my experience that daily xanax use after a week or two, there is no longer any effect on your trip. So your trip should be completely as it would have been without the xanax. I really believe a lot of this has to do with the release of epinephrine being hindered due to not being able to get excited/increased heart rate, due to xanax and its anti anxiety effects.

Now take Xanax and smoke 60mg of DMT and tell me xanax has any effect on your trip. I just wanted to say this because I don't want to give off the impression that xanax will stop any bad trip.

Thanks guys, most that was written was what I already knew, but one of you(with the longer posts, too lazy/uber busy to check back for name) told me some things that answered my question and a bit more! but thank you all anyways. I actually as am typing this about to pop another cap, this time a double of what it was last time I was told. I also recieved a cap packed full with 2CE(supposedly, fuck nonstandard street bs man), which I might do with my girl tomorrow, wish me luck for both trips!
