Would you consider that too much and not worth taking? Is there not any additional benefits from lower doses?

It's a moderate dose for a non-tolerant user. Expect a fair amount of sedation and amnesia combined with uncoordinated movement and slurred speech. You won't realize you're messed up but everyone around you will. A lower dose would allow you to feel relaxed & calm with less of the drunkenness of a larger dose.

Really? Only a "moderate" dose? Isnt 3 or 4 mg what most people are prescribed for the whole day? I thought 4 mg of Klonopin = 40 mg of Valium. Do you actually even know what your talking about?

Well it's a high dose if it's being used therapeutically as most doctors will prescribe 0.5mg at first.

I would consider it moderate-high as a recreational dose for someone new to the drug. Personally I wouldn't go above 2mg as it will be pretty sedating at that dose so you would likely pass out from more than that (and might pass out from the 2mg) so it would be a waste above 2mg.

0.5mg is a good starting dose so that's what I would take to get a feel for the drug. Remember, it's not going to be euphoric like an opioid, coke or meth, so don't expect it to be like that and take more when you don't feel euphoric from that dose because euphoria like that of those other drugs is just not going to happen.

Another reason I recommend starting with 0.5mg is because you don't want to set the bar too high right away by starting out with a higher dose which would get your tolerance up there faster. You're better off feeling out the lower dosage so that when you want increased effects you can then take 2mg and experience them rather than starting out with a higher dose which would require even more to get the increased effects.

I agree that dosage depends on your tolerance. Most starting dosages of klonopin is .5mg. I take anywhere from .5mg to 4mg a day depending on my anxiety levels. However, I've had this RX for 4 years now, so even 6mg doesn't make me stupid. If it's your first time trying them, stick with a low dose of .5mg to gauge how they will make you feel. Good luck!

start low as possible as i find clonazepam the worst benzo for sending your tolerance through the roof. about ten years ago i had unlimited access to rivotril 2mg tablets and during opiate cold turkey attempts i used to take 8-12 mg in single doses
in a desperate attempt to sleep, with little or no percieved effect. one of these attempts was in greece and one afternoon i managed to rob a box of 28 0.5mg generic aprazolam tablets that were just lying in a basket in the corner of the chemists. that night i took a full strip of them along with the clonazepam (7mg apraz /8mg clonaz
). i was so desperate to sleep, but again, didnt feel a thing as the rivotril had fried my tolerance. i know they still had an effect, as despite not feeling typically ' benzo'd' i did end up having a mini blackout, rolled off the bed i was on onto a marble floor cutting my head open. once awake again i still didnt feel sedated, just another sleepless night in opiate w/d with the added bummer of knowing id wasted all that aprazolam

4mg imo is too much unless you wanna get fucked up. at that dose i would probably have some blank spots in my memory later

I used to take 4 mg "recreationally" when I had access to 2 mg tablets for a cheap price.
with that dose and no tolerance you're likely to forget a great deal of your experience but you won't feel too fucked up, but everyone around you will definitely notice you're on something.

also, you're likely to do some stupid shit (like that time when my friend, who also took 4 mg, drove me home on his moped and we obviously fell and also we were both passing out WHILE HE WaS DRIVING and hitting walls/side walks etc. and the great thing is that I didn't even give two shits that I could've easily died!! so be careful)
