Is 2C-E supposed to turn yellow with brand new Marquis Reagent?

Hi,
I recently got a little 2C-E from Canada. This new batch was more off white, possible slight pinkish colour and less flakey and less shiny than the batches I got before from the same place 2 years ago. I tried some as I was very curious if this was low quality or possibly not 2C-E at all. I know that back 2 or 2.5 years ago this company made some mistakes with a couple of bad batches they had to replace of various chems and also around that time they sent me a mislabeled 2C-T-2 that was actually high potency 2C-E.

I have tried this batch and at 18mg it is very coulourful but I had to take a far ammount of benzos as I was just too tired after work for a trip. I ended up being in and out of sleep through most of the experiece and so was not being able to tell if it was like previous 2C-E trips from a few years ago.

I have now tested this new batch with a brand new test kit. Strangely a brand new Marquis turns yellow with a bit of this powder. My old test kit (was few years old but still worked fine on pills) did not change colour with Marquis on my old good 2C-E.

Is 2C-E supposed to turn a new Marquis reagent yellow?

by the way I've looked through my old photos of testings with Marquis I did. It does not seem to be 2C-T-2, 2C-C, -B or -I or at the very least I can say that I did not get a yellow reaction testing those chems with my old Marquis, they were quite different reactions.

I did contact the vendor with my concerns as casual as possible he assured me that it was not from any bad batches, and that from my batch number he was able to determine the supplier. He said that this batch was one of his most reliable suppliers and that the difference in look is due to the size of the batch and the moisture content during drying in the fume hood. He said that the larger the batch size usually larger grainy appearance.

I was worried it may be 2C-T-2. The only spanner in the works is that I seem to have had a very impure batch of 2C-T-2 batch a few years ago when I tested with Marquis. The impure stuff did turn a slight greenish yellow then changed to orange. I think I am safe for not getting misslabled 2C-T-2 as I checked ez-test page under erowid.org under ecstasy and is reports 2C-T-2 as going orange to red (usualy sort of salmon colour) with Maquis.

...and yes I found 2C-E in the past to be the most colourful 2C I've tried. Usually I did it at the 16mg range. Not just geometric patterns and popout oozing like other 2Cs but full blown visuals that turn into animals or faces, completely random things.

Yes, 2C-E will turn yellow/light-brownish with Marquis reagent. The photos look good too.
