Is 240 MG of OXYCONTIN too much?

I am prescribed 130 mg per day of norco/hydrocodone and left my meds at home. My classmate gave me 3 40mg tabs of oxyconton, he thought. However, he accidentally gave me 80 mg tabs instead. I took them right away, and now I'm nervous. Should I be? I've been on norco for almost 2 years, and that's why I'm taking 130 mg per day. Should I be nervous, or is everything alright? Thanks for your help and input in advance!

I'd be concerned as more ODs happen with extended release meds. I'm not from the states, but I know hydrocodone is a weaker drug. That's a massive step up!!

Do you have your friend with you for HR purposes?

If you're alone I'd advise you to go to ED at the nearest hospital to be monitored.

I have a massive tolerance to oxy, 240mg gets me off to a good start for the day, but I feel it's just too much for you.

You'll be fine, but if you feel like you're getting sedated you should maybe get together with someone who can 'sit' for you.

We can't tell you how much of something to take since various factors come into play.

When in doubt start small and work your way up. It seems like this thread was started a while ago so I'm closing it.
