is 118mg phenylephrine safe to take at once?

I know it will take my heart rate up, etc., but will it cause any serious health hazards? I'm around 150 pounds.

The only reason I'm asking is because I'm trying to trip on DXM and the only other active ingredient in the formulation I have is phenylephrine.

This is a really bad idea. Such a high dose will cause some serious side effects.

From what I'm looking at seizures are a risk as well as a long list of other unpleasant sounding symptoms.

DXM 101: Use no products containing anything else but DXM. It's not worth the risk, seriously.

Maximum daily dose is at 60mg, and even then, taking a high dose all at once isn't gonna be good. Gonna do a number on your blood pressure, probably make you feel shitty and give you a headache, and as Oxide said, there's a chance it's gonna lower your seizure threshold.

go to the local pharmacy and find a DXM only substance; they are out there; they are cheap; go find them!

Don't fuck with anything that has other chemicals besides DXM if you are planning a DXM trip. Its just asking for bad news.
