Irritating Vicodin (hydrocodone) high?

Let me start off by saying this is my first ever blue light post, however I am a long time reader. Any apologizes for mistakes made, and how to fix them would be greatly appreciated.

Anyways about 2 1/2 to 3 hours ago I did 40mg of Vicoden. I was feeling good, not as high or as euphoric as I would like to be so and hour ago I took 10mg more.

Now I am very irritable. This has only happened once before and that was durning a robo trip because I didn't have enough to get me high, but I wasn't this bad. I just yelled at my dad for calling me and only talking 5 minutes because he was on break. My Facebook won't load and it cause me to punch a wall, and I scream at the top off my lungs bitching every time my phone makes a sound from receiving a text.

How do I stop the irratablness? I'm not even somewhat eutrophic at the moment. Do I take more, combine it with a new drug? Anything helps.

Will that increase my euphoria as well? Also not sure if it's a benzo but the only other prescription pill (that's not an anti-depressant) I have readily availed without buy is flexiral.

"Opiate rage" as it is sometimes called - is actually quite common. If you have a tolerance and 40mg of Vicodin (hydrocodone) is your normal dose - then yes, taking a low dose of a benzo is safe. Don't take any benzos if 40mg hydrocodone is a lot for you. 40mg hydrocodone is a lot for somebody without a tolerance. Do you have a tolerance for opiates?

Another option is to smoke a little bit of cannabis, which should calm you down. In regards to the Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine)...which is a muscle relaxant, yes, you can take that with hydrocodone but keep the doses low (don't take more than 10mg of Flexeril). It will probably just knock you out. Otherwise - just wait for the hydrocodone to wear off a bit.

My tollerence is all out of wack since I quit for two months due to reason I won't get into. Started up again a few days ago. The first day I took 40 and it was a nice high. Day two I tired 30 and I had a mild buzz but didn't want to increase it only because I had to work. Day three and four I took 50mgs and felt great. Today I repeated 50 and now I have "opiate rage".

I think I'll take a 5mg flexiral maybe 10 be ause those don't put me to sleep as I have a Valium history and another 10mg vicoden and maybe enjoy may night.

Having a tolerance to Valium (diazepam) or other benzos won't mean you'll have a tolerance to Flexeril. They're unrelated classes of drugs and are not cross-tolerant of each other. I would just go with the 5mg Flexeril first and see how you feel personally...

Maybe you could try to take a day or two off of opiates, then when one or two days have passed, take a dose at which youll think you will get a good high off of and see if you get that irritability again. Just a thought hope it helps.

Next time try a lower dose.

I found that the irritability went away on its own after using opioids for a while. Although I recommend you keep your dosing far apart (assuming you aren't already dependent) for obvious reasons.

You could also try a different opioid (they each have slightly different effects).

If you are looking for what to do right now and not next time, try meditating or relaxation exercises. Put on some chill music, remove yourself from situations that irritate you. If you are going to use a benzo please be very careful. Generally you should take less hydrocodone and less benzo than you would normally take when mixing them. If you are super high right now please don't take a benzo at all. Many people have died from mixing opioids and benzos. If you are going to take one, take a very small dose, like way less than you would normally take. But I'd try to cope with the irritation in healthier ways personally. It can be overcome.

Update: after the original dose of 50mg that caused the irratbiltiy I decided against the benzo. The irritability last about an hour. I just locked myself up alone and listened to slow music. After the irritability was gone so was most of my high. I took another 10mg using CWE and enjoyed my night. Thank you all who posted.
