What drugs, in your own personal experiences, have you found to be the best to have a relaxed, introverted session of meditation and soul searching? If possible, try to stick to personal experiences, and not what drugs are *supposed* to do that.

low dose mushrooms are the king of relaxed introverted meditation sessions. I would say high dose mushrooms too but then the word "relaxed" can kind of go out the window

had plenty of nights just laying on my counch with only 1.5 grams of shrooms delving into my mind as if it were an ocean.

I've never done psychedelics (out of choice), so I'll go with either opiates or weed.

Yea, those are pretty cool to chill out to, but they've never really given me that push to go deep. I respect that you don't do psych's out of choice, but I think I'm gonna have to say that you don't know yourself until you've met yourself on psych's. Hehe.

Many experiences as you describe came hit from one hit of LSD alone in a comfortable setting like my room, chilling in bed or listening to quite music all day. Bottle of wild turkey + writing thoughts down was good for the mix.

Mushrooms used to be very introspective to me but now I feel as though they hate me (not amanitas, though :) )

Trust me, being locked in a cell for several days straight was enough to get to know myself better. ;)

LSD. If I take more than one hit I loose the ability to speak properly so I usually get lost inside my own head. For me trying to have a conversation on LSD is futile, even if I'm with a group of people I just keep to myself.

I've never touched psychedelics (well, I've held them but...) and use opiates to the point where it's no longer fun so I'm going to have to go with weed. If I smoke weed in a great environment, preferably outside on the beach (on the lake) with one other person. The person must be someone I respect and enjoy immensely. Someone who stimulates me mentally. Time? Evening, near sunset. Weed (one or two GREAT hits) plus about .5mg clonazepam or lorazepam and I'm golden and reflective.

LSD
it's been a long time n i don't really have the desire anymore.
i can walk down the road n go pick some mushies anytime. they can be fun but they always fuck w/ my stomach in a weird way n can be kinda unpredictable sometimes.

Back in the day a large dose of weed could get me quite reflective and meditative. I like the scene you described woamotive!
When I retire in 4 years and no longer have the major responsibilites, I would like try LSD at least once.

A combination of opiate and GABA-A drugs are the ultimate chill for meditation.
In barely buzzing doses though. In shitfaced doses, you will be terminated from thinking.
Your brain is going to be like: "No sir!"

Weed before it started to give me panic attacks. LSD can be good for what you're looking to achieve, same with shrooms, I personally got tired of both of those drugs awhile ago but feel I learned alot from my experiences with them. So my vote goes for Opiates, or Benzos, but not at the same time, but that's just what would work for me.

I would recommend good old Marijuana for what you're looking for, I wish I could still use it but I overdid it for too many years and now it just makes me crazy (crazier).

MDMA, as a solo trip. I'm surprised no one have mentioned this yet.

In my personal experience, rolling alone would be perfectly described as a "relaxing, introverted session of meditation and soul searching." MDMA is like a totally different drug when taken alone IMO. My solo trip on MDMA (staring with one strong and clean pill orally, followed by another one snorted in halves at t+60min and t+90min after initial dosing) was one of my most introspective and personal trips out of all the psychedelic trips I've taken. I found it more profound than taking Mushrooms or LSD in similar circumstances.

hope that helps!

be safe and have fun.

Hmm. That does sound nice.
How do you usually take your shrooms? Just pop in your mouth and swallow?

You pop em in your mouth, chew them up thoroughly, and wash them down with some orange juice or something. Be prepared to become nauseous and puke in about fifteen to thirty minutes. If you do puke, don't worry as you'll still trip. I like to powder my shrooms and mix it into honey. No problems with nausea with that method.

^ Yeah, me neither. When I was rolling on MDMA (even solo) I was too busy doing stuff and listening to music to relax and meditate.
