Hi everyone, I'm T.

Lurked on this site for as long as I can remember taking drugs. Experimented a lot through my adolescence, trying pretty much everything I could.

I love music, and I love making it. I like a wide range of stuff, but mainly listen to techno and metal (with some weird drone, industrial and soundscape stuff thrown in for good measure). I won't bore you, I could enthuse all day about it haha.

Currently on on Diazepam taper after racking up daily habit that was in the 100s of MG. If you'd like more info, I've posted in the "Dark Side" section. Addiction isn't fun. Chemistry aside, I believe I have quite a good knowledge of various benzos, having sampled pretty much every one I could possibly source from the UK and US. I'm sure there are people on here who know a lot more, but I'm a guy on here in his early to mid twenty's and am willing to give impartial advice if anyone would appreciate it. I'm currently doing really well with my taper, and am determined to kick my addiction.

That said, I very occasionally treat myself to some recreational drugs. Everyone needs to let off some steam sometimes.

I look forward to joining your community, I've already learnt so much from this site, I just hope I can contribute in some way myself.

T

Welcome :)
Benzo addiction is definitely not fun, good luck with your taper. You can definitely contribute and help others get off benzos in a safe way.

Welcome to Bluelight! :)

Please DO bore me on your music! I am a huge noise fan, and also enjoy ambient, industrial, and metal.

What kind of music do you make? I love making noise. %)

Thanks! I don't really want to share my own music projects on this forum yet, as I would hate for someone to put two and two together and guess that it's me. I'm not ashamed of my drug problem, but due to my severe anxiety it might trouble me. I was in a signed "swedish death metal" style band a few years back, and enjoyed recording and touring with them, and other less successful ones as I grew up.

After that I got interested in producing electronic music, and again toured DJ'ing, although with my recent problems thats been put on hold. I produce industrial techno these days, incorporating drone, power electronics and more traditional 70's/80's industrial stylings (not just a horrible distorted kick drums haha). I've recently joined a group with my friend (who is in a similar state to me at the moment), which is a kind of drone/noise project. Main influences being Earth/Sunn, Merzbow, Non, Wolf Eyes and... when we do use drums Godflesh. This is a very much a recording project at the moment, and not too serious, but fun. (If you want to hear some stuff, maybe we could share it through DM? I'm not sure how to use that function yet.)

The music I listen to day to day changes massively, I love Swedish Death Metal as I mentioned earlier, stuff like Godflesh, Iron Monkey, EyeHateGod, Electric Wizard, St. Vitus as well. I like a lot of metal so I won't go on too much. Industrial wise, the classics: Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire, NON/Boyd Rice, Coil etc, as well as more modern stuff like Alberich, Prurient, Emptyset, Jon Wiesse, Kevin Drumm, Yellow Swans. I also enjoy all sorts of embarrassing pop music, hip hop, 60's UK blues groups... I'm open to anything really.

I think that's enough to get us started! Great to meet someone on here with similar tastes, would love to talk more about it!

Hey, welcome T. I also lurked around this site forever before I joined. I have a great deal of knowledge, some learned through book study, some from being taught by others, and most of it from hard luck experience in my younger days!:p Most days, I am am well behaved, however today is not one of them. But, by all means, welcome to the fam brother.
