Introduction

Hi folks,

I've been a fan of the site for several years and used it to get answers to some difficult questions. I thought the least I could do is start supporting it.

I am retired from the Air Force and just recently retired from teaching after the state ran out of money. I'm currently looking for a part time job to keep my mind busy. I am a long time opiate user, necessary after two neck and back surgeries. I use four boxes of 100mcg Fentanyl patches and 240 80mg Oxycontins every month. Even with all that I still have trouble with the pain. I haven't told you this to complain or for sympathy; just to let you know where I am in life. Mostly, I'm happy, glad to be alive for now, and looking forward to a time when things are better.

Great to have you as a member. We do have a Chronic Pain MEGA Thread if you are ever interested. I have spinal problems and understand on some level, used opiates for a long time. Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions.

We also have a Pain Management Mega Thread Version 7.

There are MANY of us here that deal with chronic pain. We refer to ourselves as PAIN PEEPS! We understand and support one another!
