Hello,
I am a counselor / art therapist who works with children. I often have to look up the numerous different prescription drugs my clients get prescribed. So professional interest as well as personal, as I had plenty of recreational / experimental experiences in the past that I believe help me do my job better (though I would not be admitting that in a job interview, our culture is not so accepting in a lot of ways). I live in New England. I've always been very interested in how different drugs and medications effect the mind & body. At some point I am definitely going back to school for a PhD, but what exactly I want to focus on I'm not sure about yet. I don't believe I want to be able to prescribe medications because I have certain issues with how kids get medicated after seeing so much if it, but haven't completely ruled that out. I've been an accidental lurker here from time to time when looking for information and figured I should join so I can directly post questions too. So, hi community!
