Introduction into Tryptamines

Do NOT take DPT as your first tryptamine, it's way too rough! It was my second after mushrooms and I just couldn't appreciate that shit back then, just way too rough.

DiPT on the other hand is too smooth, most people don't get any visuals off that. If you just want to get a feel for tryptamines, DiPT might be well suited. Leaves you completely functional, food (FRUIT!) and music is simply amazing on it.

For a full blown tryptamine though that's extremely pleasurable and not too rough, go for 4-HO-MiPT imho!
 
"unsaturated alkane" is an oxymoron. Unsaturated compounds have bonds of double order or higher; alkanes, by definition, have only single bonds between carbon atoms. Hydrocarbon chains with a C=C bond are alkenes, and those with a triple bond are alkynes (not that you'll encounter those often). So, DALT is an N,N-dialkenyltryptamine. I've always been really interested in both DiPT and MET, but for a long time, I was just deeply wrapped up in the phenethylamine hemisphere. I look forward to voyaging forth to really explore the New World.

DiPT is my favorite tryptamine, maybe my favorite psychedelic of all time. Once you hit the high dose level it's so serene and beautiful, yet hedonistic at the same time. I get beautiful team and liquid gold visuals when I am on a high dose.
 
Well, what are you looking for in a tryptamine? I think that the 4-ho/acetoxy/phosphorloxy tryptamines tend to play well in terms of somatic feelings. If you're going for depth, 4-aco-dmt's a winner. If you want shallow fun, 4-ho-met's pretty awesome (comes pretty close to just visuals + a nice body feel + a really positive mindset, no confusion).

4-HO-DET is the real winner in the hydroxylayed family. It's so intense, such a hard hitter.
It also goes magnificently with a bit of heroin and MXE :P
 
I'm sort of with Shulgin with the differences between the various 4-ho-tryptamines being quite minor, with 4homet being the odd guy out.
