^Hi, I like your screen name and avatar. There is a stickied thread at the top of the Dark Side forum with help that may be available in your area.

I'll reintroduce myself:

Name: Mariposa (not really)
Age: a young 30 - not married, no kids
Job: can't talk about that here ;)
Diagnoses: Alky (not officially), major depressive disorder, panic disorder, GAD, PTSD and possible ADD (we find out on Tuesday). I live a relatively normal life in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. I like the ganja but that is about it these days.
Interests: books, film, travel, writing, good people with good attitudes, hiking, fashion, political activism

Well, I guess I shall introduce myself "Finally!" to anyone who hasn't seen me in the forums. I'm 25 years old, and have been heavily addicted to benzos for 6 years, in particular very much valium over all the other benzos. I am no where near as bad as I once was with my addiction to benzos, and also opiates, illicits, etc. but still stuggle everyday to a certain point. Some days are "OK", and some days are absolutely terrible.

Anyways, I'm quite sure ya have all the negative jist of shit, so catch up with me in the forums!
 
so im 25yo, addicted to benzos, and SSRI's. living alone for 4 yrs now, every1s gone, nothing left. the past sucked wanna make everything better but thats hell of a job cause its not working out.
so i sit here and trying to stop my brain from thinking and caring.

hello hello, and welcome.

sounds like you are doing the th right thing, but my advice at this moment would be to be more methodical, and write down what everything is... see what is listed first, then decide which are of more immediate importance, what takes most of your energy, and which really dont need much, or any attention at all...

^^panic in paradise. That is a very good way to actually see things you write on paper to make you think about them more. I've tried this stuff a little while ago but "aren't that good at it/didn't help much at the time" 8)

im in a world of shit right now so surfing TDS hasnt been one of my strongest points, hope to b here more and hear each individuals stories... I <3 this place and i hope everyone finds the support they need.

Struggled with depression & addiction most of my life.

I'm Matt, though most people on here and similar forums know me as Jesus or JG due to my name. I'm British, but currently living in Poland. Friends, family, music, drugs and the world around are the things that are most important to me, and although this is TDS, overall I'm very happy with my life, but we all have times when everything gets too much, and it's one of those times now, so thought I'd pop in and get to know you all.

Thanks, on the subject of small things meaning a lot, just this welcome made me feel a lot better. I'm feeling better as a whole today, I guess I'll explain what got to me in the social thread then, still not worth starting a whole thread over since it's over and done with now, and can't be fixed.

It's funny how the people you are closest to can hurt you the most, and a couple of kind words from a stranger can be the best thing to cheer you up when you really need it. :)

I want to say Finlanders(i'm too) suck badly. I've seen/talking/been friend a few dozen hundred alcohol/drug people and the quality is low. Hyppocrite shit is worst, so is low-mindism and sadism and personal dis-underrstading ppl. It's not accidental or my error, the ppl cross all way of cliques/drug sellings too. Stupidness and ignorance leads to sadism if not covering hardly. I'd stay away also from sober ppl. Am i only with problem? Haha, no but staying away from others, it's no point anymore after 16-17 years of social(hehe) drinking/hash smoking, i say many normal minded, if possible, "escape" to Western World, it's been happening since 70s as i know, probably from 3000 BC. Ha.
