Trying to define yourself is like trying to bite y
This is a scatter-brained post in which my ADD really shows.

Hello, I have been a long, long, long, long, long, long time lurker.

I am a self-proclaimed psychonaut.

After psychedelia let itself be known unto me, I had a strong desire to understand why in the heck 'that' substance made me think and feel the amazing and mind-blowing revelatory way I did.

I began reading- first on Wikipedia, than on forums, then on Google Scholar and PubMed.

First I familiarized myself with the monoamine system (of course). This, along with the basic psychoactive profiles of common drugs and their associated neural systems. GABA after monoamines, and then acetylcholine.. Along with furthering interest in acetylcholine, I heard about this craziness called NOOTROPICS. I learned about glutamate systems- NMDA, AMPA, and all that goodiness. I ordered aniracetam and experienced its intrigue. My area of interest shifted into nootropics. I combined aniracetam with several substances (which I was already familiar with) and its synergism or its antonym astonished and elated and scared me.

My main area of interest currently is in the broad and sort of vague field of 'neuropsychopharmacology', especially regarding cognitive enhancers and psychedelics.

I aspire to be the next Shulgin or Nichols. They are my idols.

Psychedelics tho'
I tampered with reality maps, and asked hallucinogenic-induced "Who am I?"s "What am I?" "Am I forever?"

I jumped too far down the rabbit hole.

I am a victim of psychiatric medicine. Yes, it helped me, WHILE I WAS ON THE MEDICINE. (Adderall, Zoloft, Dexedrine, Focalin, all that junk...)

I am extremely, extremely interested in drugs which do not require daily usage for therapeutic value. This is where the pharmaceutical industry would disagree with me.

I am diagnosed ADD and generalized anxiety disorder.

I am a keyboard warrior.

And I am currently wearing underwear.

I plan to contribute frequently to this message board, but I cannot guarantee that I will always be fully clothed while doing so. Just an FYI.. ;)

I am generally very serious-mannered and only insert humour where appropriate.

You will mainly find me in A.D.D., errrrr Neuroscience and Pharmacology.
