Hi, I checked around google and used Bluelight's search function but I can't seem to find a specific answer to my question. Sorry if I missed it or it's something obvious that I'm overthinking.

Firstly, are extended-release forms of methylphenidate changed chemically from IR in a way that reduces water solubility? In this case I want to know whether ER methylphenidate can be snorted. I know some of these ER preparations come in tablet form and not capsule so I'm curious about how the drug is changed to double its half life.

Yes they are changed. ER versions are filled w/ binders + fillers that will turn into goop when they touch moisture, almost a consistency of glue. There is a method to extract the Methylphenidate, with the end product not being *as* goopy depending on how you went about the process + filtering. As to answering any further i'd need more information to be as accurate as possible. -S
