Harm Reduction IntraMuscular Injection Sterility without Micronfilter?

Right I was wondering if I was to IM some MXE ( it completely dissolves in water without heat) but only filter through cotton (Ran out of micronfilters till next Sat') and then add 1ml of isopropyl alcohol to 2ml water ( The alcohol is to hopefully make it more sterile and so I can IM it)

Is this possible ?

Or are the cotton and alcohol not enough to make it safer?

I don't IV (Bit squimish about blood and alot more painful and timely than IM'ing).

no no NO.

Do not perform any injections, let alone INTRAMUSCULAR without a micron filter. It is an absolute MUST, there is no exception.

Don't inject alcohol, it can cause abscesses and local tissue death.

If you are going to perform an injection it should be micron filtered, no questions. Cotton is a very poor filter. Alcohol will not ensure sterility either.

Haver you tried rectal administration? It's apparently very similar to IM but needs no needles and hence no filtering.

And still, no alcohol should be used for any ROA.

Alcohol kills healthy tissue. So if you inject it you would have necrotic (dead) tissue in that injection site. I'm thinking this would lead to an abscess with or with out infection.

I would suggest plugging it like Sekio suggested. I have heard it is as close to IM as you will get with any other methods, I have never tried IM but have plugged plenty of times and I believe it is second only to IV'ing, I have never plugged anything and been disappointed with the result.

Oh yes and no alcohol. Its the little floaties that you need to worry about and you wont get them out with cotton or alcohol. Let us know how it goes when you finally get a micron filter
