Television Intervention

i thought she'd be like permanently retarded from the clips before the show aired, but she was articulate and quite pretty, i thought... had decent style, too. hopefully she learned a lot when she saw herself on the show...

i have very little sympathy for ppl's addictions.

if you can't control yourself then too fucking bad.....roll over & die.

maybe it has something to do with having a family member who has been an intravenous drug abuser for 20+ years.
 
Oh... that face!!! I can't stop laughing about it, but then I feel bad for laughing about it. Wonder how she is doing now... They need to do more updates on these people dammit. Inquiring minds need to know.

Actually when she cleaned up she looked kinda pretty with her blonde hair. She was in fricken' med-school so she isn't stupid. I just hope she didn't damage to many brain cells and maybe down the line she can get back into med school.. but, she'll never live down this 'Intervention' Episode, that will fallow her around the rest of her life!! And it will always pop up here on Bluelight when talking about intervention! That 'Duster' episode is like my 3rd favorite episode!

If I remember correctly, he'd only been using the needle for 4 months but was slinging blow and using it daily at 10-15 shots per day.

His sister's situation could be argued as a little exaggerated I guess, but definitely not his.

yeah their family was totally wack, and the sister wasn't really an addict, just a boozer and sniffed coke while her brother was slamming 15 shots a night and drinking every night, he was like 100 lbs, he was fucked up. i mean granted not as much as a lot of the other people but he was doing serious harm to his body unlike someone sniffing heroin for example. shooting street cocaine and drinking excessive amounts daily is pretty much as bad as you can get besides IV meth + drinking + smoking cigarettes
 
I basically never watch Intervention but I saw Cristy's story on youtube and I was wondering if A&E ever did a follow up story on her or anything. I am curious to know what happened to her after her 90 days in jail that she chose over treatment.

That Cristy, she was really crazy, I was captivated. I can't believe she hasn't died yet or been killed by someone else.

I wish they would take requests. I'd really like to see someone addicted to PCP. That drug had the potential for the best episode ever.

Or addicted to delerients like dramamine or Jimson weed
 
I missed most of last nights episode, was it any good? I'll have to watch it on youtube if it was any good.

lol watch they go and pay someone to pick up a PCP habit now just so they can do an episode on them...

the DXM kid was as close as i've seen to that kinda thing. he seemed pretty weird by nature though.
 
the DXM kid was impressive. anybody who's done a 3+ plateau trip on DXM can appreciate what it must be like to LIVE in that zone 24/7. The guy has been doing DXM daily for years and years at up to 1800 mg (5th plateau for sure). The fact he can function at all surprised me to be honest. I bet if he sobered up (which I think would take longer than a 3 month stint in rehab) he would still have challenges years later from the abuse he's put his brain/body through.

ones I'm not a fan of: alcoholics and people with eating disorders.

overall though its a great show. I've enjoyed almost all of them
 
Intervention- Did you see the neck shot girl?

OMG, did you guys see intervention on Sunday? That H addict was injecting into her neck. I was like OMFG!!! I've heard how dangerous that is. I mean, one miss and that's it.

I'm glad she got help because she seemed like an honestly sweet girl. Her use was getting a little out of hand. I mean, not that my popping pills is any different, but her life was getting dangerous.

And I've never seen fent patches like the one's her mother was handing out to her. They were so tiny. Are those those stinky Mylans everyone talks about?

Anyway.. I wasn't sure where to put this. I know it doesn't belong in 'Film and television' or 'other drugs' or 'Basic Drug discussion', so i put it here. Please feel free to merge with the other 'Intervention' thread or to where the mods thing this should be.
