Television Intervention

oh yeah, Coley... haha i think i got "Tim" from "timber" cuz that's what he cut... lol wtf's wrong with me

Ironically, "Intervention" was the most recorded/watched show at the Sober Living house I lived in for 3 months. Followed by Family Guy ;)

I really liked the episode about the 22 or 23 year old heroin addict that was homeless and begged for change everyday to support his habit. They showed him drawing up water into his rig out of a toilet in the McDonald's bathroom....fuck.

He actually got clean though, which was a cool ending to that episode. Is it just me or does it seem like most of the success stories from that show happen with the hard drug users, while most of the unsuccessful stories come from the alcoholics?

Interesting to think about. I always said I admired alcoholics who can stay sober more than anything because their DOC is everywhere they turn. You don't see convenience stores selling heroin and coke on every corner or in every restaurant...

yeah that was a good one, i think it was new this season. he was likeable even when on drugs, and had a good story- a pretty heavy habit that turned into a happy ending, he sure cleaned up nicely- i thot he was kinda cute @ the end

Probably the one with the bulimic who literally raced her husband home so she could purge and hide the evidence before he got back. It was interesting to note her despair (not surprisingly, due to an unhappy childhood) in relation to her attractiveness, social class, and white picket-fence lifestyle.

^ the most entertaining 2 minutes of intervention evaaaaaar

in distant 2nd would be the raver/dj. when his neighbors were tellin him to turn down his music he walks away n' says "go pet your cat... bitch!" rofl

real talk tho, its kinda crazy to watch other people go through some dark/rough times on intervention. addiction can be living hell and its like im watchin other ppls misery for "entertainment"... its a crazy world.

Oh, man, I've never seen a full episode of this show, but last night the new season apparently started and featured a girl addicted to fucking duster. 8o

I know it's not funny, but I laughed. Yes, I am a bad person.

^ I watched last night's episode and I laughed too. She was so fucking brain dead and it didn't help that her voice was annoying.

It fucking scared me. I was just like whoa this can't be real, it just can't. It was fucked.
When she started cutting tho, even though they weren't up close to it...I couldn't watch it. I can to close my eyes.

Yea last nights 'Duster' episode was something else. She really needed help on a lot of levels. I can't even imagine breathing that stuff but i can't judge her for that, some people can't imagine how some of us, like myself take pills i guess. I'd be to scared to try breathing 'Duster'.

She was really wacked out when she huffed that stuff. But, it looks like she got the help she needed.

You know what blows my mind, is how she said the same woman rings her up everyday. I wonder what that cashier must be thinking-- this girl buying so many cans of 'Duster' everyday. Sometimes i get funny looks when i buy a lot of poppy seeds. I always say "It's for my birds" (i don't have birds lol) and they usually say "ohhhh ok, that makes sense" I used to say it was for an art project and finally this one cashier says "I want to see this art project" ROTFL. I told her "Oh sure, I'll take a pic of it next time i come in" And every time I'd go in I'd have to say "Oh i left my camera at home" Finally i had to tell her "Oh i sold the artwork" This was like a year ago when i was buying a lot more seeds. I only buy seeds once in a blue moon now. But that one cashier pissed me off. I mean she was friendly about it but it still frustrated me.

I wonder if they'll ever have a pod addict on Intervention. Or like that guy who wrote that article called "The confessions of a true eBay Opium addict" LOL. Would be interesting to see. Watching someone sitting by the window waiting for their priority package of pods.

RPG

OMG! I watched the duster girl too. I don't know if I will ever get the mental image of that look on her face and her eyes as she put that damn duster up to her mouth. That freaked me the hell out. I kept thinking that this couldn't possibly be real, but then I almost started crying when those cops took her away. Poor girl, that was by far the worst I have seen.

Well, I don't know, though. The meth addict Christy was pretty bad as well....

^ true. They said that her sugar daddy paid the rent and gave her money so she probably was only financially strapped for drug money.

I just thought she was really annoying and I wanted to reach into the tv and smack her for talking. LOL I hated that they took her kitties but I laughed when she got into her car and yelled that the bags were there but the cans were gone. LOL

It was just one liner after one liner.

"I just want a dad" PSSSSHHHWWWSSSHHH

*vacant stare*

LOL

^ That was scary with the voice and that look of bugged eyes and her brow...

Her mom asking what that look is. "Its hatred. For you." And then her mom is trying to help her and shes yelling "I need a parent" Her mom is there and she asks her to leave. WTF? It was all just really fucked.
