Internal Pain when Injecting Heroin?

When I started out shooting black tar I always used small amounts as to not kill myself. But as I have become more experienced with the stuff, I can approximate my maximum dose thereby attaining levels of intoxication previously unthinkable. I'm sure this is also attributed to increased tolerance.
Anyway, with stronger shots came a stronger more uncomfortable rush. Before I never really used to rush, I would just feel the drugs slowly take effect over about a minute. Now after about 10-15 seconds I feel them dispersing throughout my limbs and throughout my head. The sensation is pretty painful, like strong pins and needles throughout my extremities, almost a burn. Definitely uncomfortable. I was wondering if this is normal when shooting strong doses of smack or if this kind of effect is solely attributed to the black tar I'm getting. I had a similar reaction with some strong tar I got in another state, so I'm positive the stuff I'm getting isn't fucked up. If anything it's really good.

Well I actually kind of enjoy it. It means I'm nice and stoned. It's not THAT bad...if it really bothered me I would quite. I just wanted to know if it's normal that feeling is what is meant by the "pins and needles" analogy.

Thats just something your gonna have to deal with when your shooting that much. The only way around it is to shoot less which you seem to not want to do. Most likely your getting really good pure shit so the rush is that much more intense causing you the internal pain...

I've never injected heroin but I have gotten a similar experince with shooting speed. The whole pins and needles thing. I also used to get a kind of "scrunching up" felling in my abdomen. I only got it when i first started shooting so i put it down to shooting too much/too pure stuff. As has been said, try shooting less. Its obviously pretty dangersous as the more you shoot the easier it is to OD, no matter how well you can guess your amounts.
 
That "scounging up" feeling in your abdomen is your liver attempting to bio-metabolize whatever you just shot up...i notice when i do "nestles quick" looking tar it happens more...i belive its the acetic anhydride that the amigos cant bake off the tar.
 
Maybe its nerve damage from shooting. Do you always shoot the same spot? NO sources , I am just suggesting.
 
I agree that its if the AA isnt cooked off enough.
I have had this experience hundreds of times when converting morphine into herion using AA. When *I* do it I take care & am careful but a lot of friends i used with wernt so concerned with it (it takes a whole 2 minutes longer).
Is that enough to back up his 'blabber' fairnymph?
