This is a presentation prepared by Dr. Harry Sumnall of the UK's ACMD and Dr. Simon Brandt.

It's been funded by the Liverpool JM University who do a lot of fascinating research into hallucinogens.

Certainly doesn't suggest that they're moving to ban it, which is nice.

That page just gave me a virus!

edit: and I didn't get to read it because the page automatically changed to some malware thing.

Is it possible that it was filtered by an overzealous antivirus?
I'm not the biggest fan of scribd, but I don't think they're that bad.

I don't use antivirus software. This was a redirect to a page where a little box pops up and says "windows detected a virus on your machine, please press ok to scan", or something of that sort.

I'll give it another go...

Yay! It worked.

This is what is written in the first page. All the pages are of similar quality. What gives? :?

Well that is bizzare, it works fine for me. Can anyone else comment? Maybe try a different browser?

It works just fine for me.

Firefix via Macbook.

EDIT: Very nice to see some neutral / unbiased research done. It wasn't very indepth but it made me happy to read being that they seem to have a very professional yet open mind about it.

apparently general sales of salvia shot up after a video of miley cyprus high circulated...
video can be found on youtube

I bet none of Miley Cyrus' fans enjoyed the salvia they bought.

So Salvia is a k-opioid receptor. Could it be used as an antidepressant or as a means of pain relief? Perhaps in small doses.

This mean it's also possible to W/D from continuous salvia use? Not that anyone could stand to smoke it for consecutive days...

My palm found a home....

.... On my face.
??
well similarly, sales of LSD shot up after jimi hendrix and the beatles sung about it

Yeah, I don't think it's uncommon. I know it was reported with salvia and it certainly is speculated when others hit the papers, just brings it into people's minds. Any publicity is good publicity etc.

It is a nice overview of the research, although I'm not so surprised about the sensible viewpoint, the majority of the ACMD are pretty level headed.
