Interesting results with poppy seed tea "putty"

I would estimate that I had around 1 gram of total matieral. This is just an estimate. 1-2 Grams.
 
I'd also like to add that 1 hour prior i was able to extract about 1/2 gram of POWDER. now, i'm not claiming this is anything amazing, but insuffuating it gave me quite a buzz. Overall i'm very pleased with how this experiment went. Drinking poppy tea is rewarding, yet nauseating. Also, drinking that kind of beverage doesnt scream "fun" to me.

Edit:

When i extracted the putty, I was unable to get anymore powder. I was expecting the final product to be powder, was wrong. I suppose the time spent in the ISP played a role in the consistency,

That's right.

This is a harm reduction forum. We're here to help drug users stay safe, not to help people make substances for ingestion.

The only time any kind of synth discussion is allowed is when it has to do with impurities and adulterants that are potentially harmful; e.g. in Australian Drug Discussion we have a very knowledgeable user who posts about the toxic byproducts of certain MDMA synthesis routes, among other things. He isn't post a step-by-step or a guide or anything, just pointing out what the dangers are and how they can be reduced (though not many on here could really attempt this kind of synth).

Maybe you should have read the rules before you started posting.

Colmes: How much did you have to smoke to get the effects you were describing? Sorry if this sounds like an interrogation, just that this is an interesting topic. :D
 
Hehe no problem, i'm glad my topic sparked interest. 3 bowls, small corn cob pipe (didnt bother with lightbulb vaporizer) The taste was really just like poppy seed tea. IT did not burn, it didnt taste bad. I didnt have to do much, and the effects were nearly instant, which made it a pleasure haha.

So you still have quite a bit of the putty left over? It would be interesting to see you try this again with the same brand of seeds and see what the variation is like.
 
I cant stand the taste of poppy seed tea anymore, it doesn't even taste that bad after you add honey and lemon juice, but it still makes me gag almost every sip.
cant wait to try this. so im guessing its as simple as washing the seeds in isp alcohol or something like everclear and then just letting the alcohol evaporate? also any tips?
 
well i have done this too so i can psot my extraction too jdut for reference: 10oz of poppy seeds (organic is better) was put in a jar and coverd with 91 percent ISO alcohol and shaken for 3 minutes. the alcohol was then pured into a shallow baking pn and allowed to evaperate. the resulting tar sunstance was scraped up and if it was too liquidy some sort of powder (here very pulverized weed was used) to thicken it. smoke and enjoy.
 
To answer both. I do have leftovers, I will be tryin this again with two other bags, each a different brand. The same brands i mixed tonight. For the method. I used 400g of poppy seeds. I heard morphine in it's natural form is more soluable in alcohol than water (corrent me if i'm wrong). I used ISP alcohol (91% alcohol) 2.99 for 32oz. I put the seeds in a container, just as if i was making tea, covered it with ISP (1cm over the seeds) I shook it around for several minutes, then filtered the seeds and emptied the alcohol/alkaloid mixture into a wide pan with large surface area. This was made of aluminum. I realized early that it is very difficult to scrape either putty or power off the aluminum, so, after significant evaporation has occurred, i emptied it into a smaller glass caserole type dish. Waited. End product, enough putty. I placed it under a heat lamp for around an hour to let it settle, and I also read that as it gains more shape, it's potency is increased (also easier to deal with). Then I smoked it. Worked for me.

I am still feeling opiated, a pronounced body and mind relaxation/warmth.

what you were describing was not synthesis it was extraction. all you were explainingwas extracting the morphine and codeine. If you would have said how to make it into h after that, that would be a synth.

Anyone have any input on using Paraffin to defatten the tar/puddy...And also what would be absorption difference when using ISO Alc. versus hot water...

I know hot water will yield more morphia alk's when cold water will yield more codia alk's...whats is the comparison with ISO...

Also has anyone tried the freeze-tek procedure where you freeze the solution until 2/3 becomes ice and traps much of the sugars and fats and the water on the bottom becomes much more pure for next step of extraction.


This sounds really fun to try...I will use pods which i think will be more potent and i am trying to read up on some purification tricks where i can get a relatively pure opium like substance...of course with different ratios of active alkaloids then opium but still...
 
I have to post in here in case anyone here did not read my post about Poppy Seed Tea further down the front page.

Stop eating poppy seed tea or any of its derivatives. It seems that there is toxic levels of heavy metals in this stuff. Especially cadmium, which is VERY toxic. I spent 4 years ingesting PST on a daily basis, and I think I have likley destroyed my kidneys. I show no symptoms after 8 months of no tea, but everything I've read has told me I took in about half a life time's worth of Cadmium in every PST dose I took.

Not good. I recommend all of you to stop drinking this trash, don't do irrepairable damage to your body for a cheap high like I did.
