I postulate for a new job in the same compagny that I work for presently, I have 3 test to past, I already past 2 of them. The informatic test with a result of 100%, the theorical test with a result of 95% and in 7 days im going to have a physical test and im a bit worried about it. I very angry because 2 years ago I was healthy and strong, todays im unhealthy and weak, for cause I had a car accident that made me inactive for 10 months and since I never work out and my drug use became important during this period.

My stamina is very bad. Today I tried to do jogging and I couldnt do more then 3 minutes. My goal would be 10 minutes.
My strenght is not that bad even if I lost 42 pounds since my accident, I must say I was getting pretty big (200 pounds), now im 158. I recently lost 17 pound because of an AH-7921 withdrawal that made me so sick that I barely eat in 2 weeks but now its getting much better. Im eating properly. My goal would be to gain back about 5 pounds but im not sure its possible in 7 days. Though my body is hungry so it might be possible.
I will probably have to do push-ups, today I tried doing some and I reached 29 push-ups. My goal would be 40 push-ups.
I have 5,10,15 and 25 pounds dumbbells at home.

I also planned taking some supplement, mainly Amino acids and Creatine. Creatine with help me rehydrate my body and give my muscle some energy while Amino acids with help with muscle growth. Do you think its a good idea ?

Do you have some tips or a plan to give me to help me reach my goals ?

I really want that job, I couldnt forgive my self to fail this test. Please help me. Its VERY important to me. =D

Hi Quare I too had really bad cardio 10 months ago but I did the following:

First day: walking - i did fast walking of half an hour. I think that if you are going to run or jog right away and you do not have the proper training for it, you won't last long.

Second day: walking - i did fast walking for an hour.

Third day: thread mill: 10 min of walking on speed 4 and 10 min of running my speed was speed 5

Fourth day: thread mill: 5 min of walking on speed 4 and 15 min of running on speed 5.5

Fifth day: thread mill: 5 min of walking on speed 4 and 20 min of running on speed 6

6th day: thread mill 2 min of walking on speed 4 and half an hour of running on speed 6

7th day: thread mill - 40 min of cardio speed 6

It is important to get a build up first before you run so you get to have a practice of your own. If you can't run for let's say 10 min on the third day, at least do intervals like 1 min for running and one min for walking until you get the build up of your cardio. Supplements will help but it's the practice that will get you to your goal.

What do you mean ? I stopped using AH-7921 3 weeks ago and im already feeling much better days after days. Anyway, the goal is to reach the best I can in 7 days.

Im at the end of the second day and I gained 4,5 pounds back, though I will probably lose a few during the night but its getting good for my weight at least. Today I went doing some longboard in the morning 3,5km in 40 minutes. It wasnt exosting for half of the run the first 2km were mostly downhill and flat sections, the next 1,5km was flat for a long time and finished with uphill section which I walked. When I finally got to my car, I was exosted but its a good thing, its sign that it wasnt waste of time.

My pectoral and triceps were cough up from my training of yesterday, which consisted of push-ups and dumbbells lifting. So I didnt trained them todays, Ill see how it goes tomorrow.

That's good! I know that you don't have enough time but if it would be better, you can rest for tomorrow and do the cardio exercise the day after tomorrow so you can give enough rest to your body. Let us know how your test goes. Goodluck!

Is it a physical like a checkup, or are they actually testing you on your physical agility/strength? What does the test entail?

Either way, it's like Changed said, seven days are not enough to make a noticeable change. These things require time.

Actually, Im not sure exactly what the test will be, but they gonna get me to a gym to test my physical condition. But you know 7 days of workout is better then 0. I dont know why you guys keep saying this, I already been a bodybuilder, I know it takes time to make big difference but when you been off gym for a while its much faster to get result.

BTW, I dont need anymore comment saying: you wont get result. I made this thread to get support not discouragement. ANYTHING is better than NOTHING.

I have 1 more question. Should I stop workout 1 or 2 days before the physical test to get best result ?

Our bodies need at least 24 hours of rest prior to the workout so I say just rest on the last day so you have enough rest and energy for the test on that day.

Damn, it been so much time since I workout, my muscles are still cough up from my training 4 days ago. I will have to leave the mucles training for the weeks to get best result for the test, though I can still train my cardio which is the most important part I guess.

I gained 7,5 pounds back since I started.

I really miss working out, if I get this job, I will have much more time during the weeks so I think im going to go to the gym again and gain those muscle back =D

Creatine is great, for strength gains as well as muscle mass. But I don't really see any benefits to the aminos acids, you get them from protein. But some people do believe in them, and take them during their workout. And good luck! Make sure you eat enough protein. 160 grams a day should be enough for you. Let us know what happens :)

I did my test today, I had good result for most of the test, I had avarage result for 2 or 3 test and there was about 30 test. My blood pressure was high, I hope it wasnt too high because they wont take someone with very high blood pressure though mine was 149 so its high but I think is not too much.

Guess what ! They did not even test my cardio and this is the thing I was the most worried about.

Im confidant that I will get the job, Im waiting for the call tomorow.

I also gained 9 pound since I started so Im glad im gaining back most of the weight I lost during my sick withdrawal.

thats good so i assumed you got the job? nice work Quare!

Thanks everybody, I think it will also help with the pain I have with the previous work. Also the new scheduled could allow me to go to the gym during the days so thats great.
