Hi

I have been abusing opiates but mostly benzos for the past 4 years, and counting...

Lately I have been unable to go to the bathroom properly (did too many DXM trips on Christmas too), so I thought this were the main cause of the problems of my stomach.

Yesterday I went to a familiar party were I ate noodles with some tomato sauce -it was very delicious and I did have not problems eating.

That night same after many hours I did 800mg Codeine with some Clonazepam. I was unable to feel the Codeine strong as usual and couldn't sleep in all the night.

So today I did an hour of exercise in the morning (without sleeping at all) and couldn't move anymore, then I went to my pharmacist-friend and bought a box of:
  • Carisoprodol
  • Dormicum
  • Tramadol

As soon as I reached bed, I did 600mg Carisoprodol together with 30mg Dormicum (Midazolam), I didn't touch at all the Tramadol.

The first 10 minutes I felt nothing; the 20' next I strongly felt relaxed both in mind and body, and in 30' I was struggling to get some damn sleep. Now 4 hours have passed and while I feel better, much more calming and relaxed, I still can feel that black hole in my head asking me for sleep.

So.

Even if I won't go to a hospital today, it is worth doing 45mg Midazolam, 4mg Clonazepam and 600mg Carisoprodol more?

Thanks in advance.

You're taking too many drugs for your own sake. Let your body readjust itself, even if that means a few nights without sleep ("white nights" as we say in French). Good luck.

"That night same after many hours I did 800mg Codeine "

1st off, thats WAY too much codeine, your liver can only motabolize 350-400mg per 24hrs, taking anymore than that is a complete waste, not to mention running a serious risk of damaging your body.

Im 22, ive been diagnosed by multiple doctors not as an insomniac, but with a very bad sleeping problem. i too myself have been on benzo's daily for 4years or so, they really are not a drug meant to be taken for long periods of time, id suggest planning to get off them and possibly considering an ssri/snri.

Have you tried OTC benadryl sleep aids ? RX'd sleep aids ? if neither help at all, the problem is deeper than you think

I never had any problems sleeping until I had a gambling addiction. Lots of stress when you lose money gambling & then the sleepness nights start. My point is, I cause my sleepness nights because of my gambling but when I take a Soma, it does help to sleep.

Could it be a minor bout of opiate withdrawal? You said you have been abusing opiates but don't state how much or how often. I feel your pain, though. I too have a horrible time sleeping. I take methadone daily, and nuerontin sometimes for nerve pain. I eat benadryl like candy which do absolutely nothing. Ambien does nothing. seroquel does nothing. I was addicted to benzos a few years ago but managed to stop, so thats a can of worms i would prefer to keep shut. I can only sleep for an hour at a time, then I wake up. I have very intense vivid dreams everytime i shut my eyes, it scares me half the time. It sucks. I dunno what to do anymore.

Not sleeping really takes a toll on your body and mind, sometimes i'll not sleep for a few days and nights and end up hallucinating, talking to shadowpeople, not remembering anything, pretty ridiculous.

Unfortunately I do not have any better answers for you, but it seems as if you managed to get a few solid hours of sleep. I wish you luck with your sleepig issues.
