my girlfriend is a heavy heroin user and is currently in a treatment facility. she got on the suboxone and she's not withdrawling anymore but now that she's on subs it makes her extremily nauseous to the point she neeeds thos shots they give you.

anyone else have that problem or familiar with it? she really needs to be on subs but they make her ill. any ideas or suggestions? is she just sensitive? will taking less help? I use suboxone but it works great for me and I feel peachy as soon as I get on it so I just have no idea. thanks!

What dose is she on? Suboxone has almost always made me very nauseas, I find suboxone to have a very large number of negative physical side effects. Anyway, I recommend she decrease her dose, 2-4 mg is probably enough to hold her for a day, although some people find that 8 works better. I think more then 8 mg/day is unnecessary for most people. Doctors almost always over prescribe suboxone in my opinion.

yes, less is more with subs in my experience, you only need high doses for the first day or two, then you can usually get by fairly well on one or two mgs. This is just my experience though. I too got nauseous on high doses of suboxone, but not that bad, nothing to complain about considering the hell it has spared me at times.

Less is More, also you could try subutex I guess? some people have better results with that.
