Benzos insufflation of alprazolam

I'm sure this thread has come up somewhere before, but I wanted to hear opinions.

I've recently started to snort xanax. Although I've always heard that the BA is higher oral.
Still, I prefer snorting xanax to taking it oral.
What do you guys prefer?
 
Personally, I snort it.

I have seen tons and tons of people say xanax is not soluble in water and will not work when insufflated. It works perfectly for me!

Oral BA is higher, but I still snort.
 
Snorting alprazolam is a huge waste. I never see why one would do something with a lower BA... isn't the idea to get the most you can out of drugs not less..

With a BA of literally almost 100% orally, taking it any other way makes zero sense. It also hits incredibly fast orally too so it's not like you get this added rush from snorting it. It's literally pointless, but whatever.
 
its just like snorting roxies...it will work but you will be wasting it because oral absorption is high as fuck, but if you are the fiend type or just like sniffing...it will work but take more to get where you want to go and not last as long. plus oral xanax kicks in pretty quick unlike roxies since it is made for panic attack

forgot to mention xanax is probably one of the worst tasting drugs ever made and the drip is disgusting

That's drug abuse. Sublingual the alpraz if you have to do something besides eat it.
 
Snorting Xanax is merely physiological, it would be buch better just to parachute it - and that won't even do much since Xanax isn't time released.

It is not at all like snorting roxies. Oxycodone has a nasal bioavailbility that is almost the same, if not a little lower then oral bioavailbility. It does however hit you faster if your snort it, giving you more of a rush, so insuffilation of oxycodone does serve a purpose.

Xanax has an extremely low nasal bioavailbility, it's next to nothing, but a high oral bioavailbility.

I get the impression that some folks will snort anything, even if the BA is lower.

In the back of a file drawer, I have a little pouch with a mirror, rusting razor blade, straw and dusty screw-topped vial that haven't been touched since 1985. And I was wistful for a moment for the girl/woman who used them.

The mortar and pestle in my kitchen that's intended to grind spices was used a few times to crush OxyContin; the fleeting rush was aromatic to say the least.

Snorting is over for me.
 
I snort them, typically 1/2 mg oral and 1/2 up the nose. It seems to be hit me a lot faster that way, and if I taking it for its legit purpose then I definitely am going to snort some. I don't always snort it either, sometimes I just eat it and I never only snort it. It may be a waste but financially speaking they are hardly a burden to me, so I could care less about the waste.

IDK why but it takes a while to kick in for me, its quicker than lorazepam and clonazepam, but slower than diazepam. Diazepam hits me hard and quick, and for that I enjoy it the most.

i was comparing the two meaning they hit faster snorted but are less effective. I am not sure where you are seeing nasal bioavailability of almost the same for oxycodone nasally and taken orally. I was almost certain that oral is around 90% on an empty stomach and nasal is about half that?

Well, I mis-spoke. I meant compared to Alprazolam's bioavailbilities, oxycodones oral and nasal bio is relatively close.

You get your merit badge for it too. It is not more potent, it hits faster but a small amount of it. When I snort .5 I feel like I ate .25 mg pretty quickly, like within 5 minutes, then get feel a little extra from what drip I swallowed. Tops will be 75% of what I'd feel if I just ate it, but I don't have to wait at least 20 minutes to feels something.
 
I guess I just enjoy the high from snorting xanax compared to orally taking it. But I think I'll try taking it orally a few more times to see.
