Heroin Insufflation dose for heroin vs i.v

So I understand purity of heroin greatly vary and it's impossible to give an accurate number. I'm just curious how much you guys use when snorting. I typically use 40-100 mg over a few hours. Also My habit is about a year old.
 
There's really no point to this it can vary greatly between tolerance and purity. I've snorted every where from 100mg to 1000mg.
 
Take the amount you snort to get high and cut it in half just about for how much to do iv. Ime snorting heroin is slightly less than 50% the strength of iv if youre not talking about real high doses.
id start with half a bag to a bag iv, assuming yoive got stamps.
unless youre snorting 4 bags just to get high i reccomend you stick with just sniffing it..i didnt start iving till i would snort half a bundle at a time to get high
but with high amounts snorting ime is like 30% strength of iving. the last time i snorted heroin i snorted a whole bundle at one time, amd at the time id shoot a half bundle to get pretty high. Barely felt anything off the whole bun even though it was the same dope that 5 ivd would get me an acceptable high so if you normally snort large amounts of powder only uae 30% of ypur snorting dose. A bundle is like .5-.8 grams so i didnt get high off of double an iv dose because it took too long to absorb/too much powder.

a nontolerant user could iv like 50ish mg of "average" street powder heroin ime and be ok/not overdose.
That being said do not iv until you sniff some to test the potency. Ive had the same stamps from the same dealer vary in quality enough that i fell out off of the same amount that was just am average strength shot for 3 weeks of shooting that brand. I thought that i knew how good they were but i was wrong. Exercise caution when you iv heroin but especially wjen you first start. Its easy to do too much and get sick if youre lucky and dont pass out after you do the shot, and its easy to do too little and mess up the rush, because it feels much better to shoot your whole dose at once instead of doing several small shpts within minutes of eachother.
you dont have anybody to show you how much to do? I find it hard to believe that someone whos been using heroin for a year doesnt know anybody who can show them how to IV unless you only get dope off the darknet rather than the street scene/street dealers.

Well I split it between nostrils and spread higher doses out between like 30min so it all absorbs good.

And same with the other poster iv I do about half my snorted dose
 
How big is a bag for you around 20 mg ? I rarely get bags, I mostly get rocks.
 
Another question, it's probably a stupid one but w/e. Is there anyway to tell you're close to ODing? I know the only way to know where the edge is to go over. Is pretty much once you start nodding you're getting close ? The reason I ask is that I have narcan on hand everytime I use. I just dont know if I od if I'll be able to use it.
 
No I keep my use on the down low...pretty much only my dealer knows that I use.
 
Ok since my post was a really bad meth rant heres the deal
if you switch from snorting to iving, do 30-50% of the amount you sniff.
nodding in and of itself isnt necessarily close to oding. I never got hit with narcsn but i allegedly stopped breathing in a frinds car. I remember doing the shot and feeling the rush way more than i usually did and i knew i did too much
woke up like 10 minutes later and we were driving down the highway

i used to fall out all the time when id use and when that would happen id get high tand then randomly pass out suddenly within 15 minutes of doing the shot. every time it happened to me id wake up with no recollection of anything, sometimes 5 minutes since the last time i can remember, sometimes an hour or two later. and ive fallen out off of shots that when i did them, they didnt feel like enough to make me pass out involuntarily. Like just because you dont drop dead within a few seconds of shooting up doesnt mean you cant/wont overdose

I'm not seeing where the OP is asking how much to IV? It seems like their question is specifically about dosage for insufflation.
 
@drink : Nodding is not the sole or even primary indicator of opiate overdose.

Unresponsiveness to external stimuli, blueness in extremities and lips, shallow or no breathing are common symptoms.

It is very hard to determine this by yourself. I have nodded hundreds of times and overdosed (needing resuscitation) maybe 3 or 4 times. Each time felt like a normal nod. Maybe there is something I missed, but I have never been able to tell the difference.

If you're trying new stuff, or higher doses, or new ROAs , or just afraid of OD'ing in general you really need a buddy.

^^this exactly.

Plus,once you go IVing that stuff youll prolly stop snorting,itll seem too weak and like youre wasting product(thats what all my IV junk friends tell me).
Although 7 years now that im addicted to heroin not once did i shoot it(snorting only and occasionally smoking) and i tell you,its still satisfying.It can be for you too,maybe you just need to adjust a few things.

With snorting you wont have to be worried too much about ODing,except if you snort too much unknown product combined with benzos/alcohol.

If you still decide to shoot,id recommend to do it in a house and not on some corner or some drug den,so you can have clean equipment and sufficient light so you can estimate correctly a safe dose(which as above posters said,would prolly be around half the amount you usually snort).

As far as I know, the Narcan thing is not intended to be a self-administered deal. Like others have said, you can almost never tell if you're going to OD, you need someone with you to make that call. Hopefully someone who's experienced in the whole H/IV/what an OD looks like thing. They'd hopefully be able to tell if you're close to OD'ing or not but there's no way in the world you could.
