I've been looking for an answer to this question for quite a while...

Hypothetically, let's say someone snorted one 40mg ER Opana. How long after insufflation would that someone be able to blow their nose while knowing that the oxymorphone has been properly absorbed? Sometimes, people have different reactions to snorting Opana (one person's nose seems to gel up a shitload within the first 20 minutes, while another person's nose remains dry as hell for hours). For that person who's nose tends to gel up more often after insufflation, how long should they wait before blowing their nose?

And yes, I did use the search engine before making this thread. Couldn't find much info on the topic...
 
It depends on personal physiology and "sinus conditions" as it were. Impossible to quantify.

Using a saline nasal rinse to keep your sinuses irrigated and moist will help. Wait a good 10 or 15 minutes before blowing your nose to ensure absorbtion. Moister noses will absorb faster, you can always send some saline up after you snort your pills to wash everyting out as it were.
 
Lol. I'm pretty sure the mods not only told you how to make it, but pointed you in the right direction for more info twice.

OP, I would wait at least 20 minutes or so before I blew my nose. Saline spray or even a little 'bump' of water might help as well. After all, it would probably really suck to blow a huge wad of opana into your kleenex after you went to all the trouble of snorting it, right?
 
I thought you were against drug use except for pain management, MAJ.Pain?
 
Is this OPANA WILL KILL YOU thing a real commonly accepted thing? or is this guy trying to scare people?
 
I personally think it is fearmongering, but there are good reasons not to snort any pills in excess.

I personally think the tiny amount of SMC an Opana abuser would inhale would be removed by mucous and the cilia. But do note the MSDS indicates that dust masks are a good idea.

I think colloidal silicon dioxide is much different than e.g. asbestos or crystalline silicon dioxide in terms of its damage to tissue. How far you trust me or the MSDS is another thing.

Wait a second, wouldn't putting a bit of water in each nostril just make everything worse by causing the opana to gel up?
 
You sure know a lot about snorting opana for someone that believes snorting opana will cause death...

I always wait as long as possible to blow my nose after opana.

i am working on getting an answer to a question that i've been looking into for a while, which is how to make an opana ER nasal spray bottle. to get the immediate release effect, plus not allow any of it to get in my lungs cause opana is possibly terribly harmful to your lungs. causing death in a mater of years.. (possibly) it's been suggested many many times.

we all need help with this so we need a nice sticky thread for making a nasal spray , and to inform people of the possible DEATH side effect from snorting these. (over time)

Is this true or false? for the past 4 months I've been snorting my 180 x 40mg script of opana to get the maximum BA out of it ( I have two slipped disks in my lower back ) and now I'm freaked. Can anyone provide documentation to confirm or dismiss this? I know silicate isn't good on the lungs, but really, a few years??

incidentally, I always swallow the mucus gel blob so I'm not wasting any of the drug.
 
To make a nasal spray, couldn't you just follow instructions on how to prep for IV, add some extra water and IPA and put in a nasal spray bottle?
 
About an hour or two after snorting Opana i usually use nasal spray or snort a little bit of water (half a bottle cap maybe) to keep my nose from getting clogged and to help absorption.
