A friend of mine told me that snorting MDMA crystals can cause instant damage to the optic nerve with can bring on permanent blindness. She said it was easy to find information on it but i've been looking for cases of this happening and/or studies on it but I'm at a loss. This sounds like one of those bogus myths but can anyone confirm or deny this?

Insufflation and optic nerve?

Makes my eye water like crazy when I do it... everythings went up my left since day one.. no really noticable different [no cokenose, bentnose, mad scars/reconstruction yet].. I am getting glasses soon because my left eye is somewhat blurry.. This is no solid evidence, but I'm positive that something which causes that amount of pain is surely not wholely good for you in the long term.. it's all connected to each other once you get so far up there.. but I do not believe it causes temporary blindness apart from the initial reaction and tear formation which is just a sliight annoyance

Eh, think of the anatomy for a second; The drug gets absorbed into mucous membranes in your sinus cavities, which have walls of bone. I really doubt your friend's claims.
