Instant release adderall question

I am prescribed adderall 30mg 2x daily and i take 30mg in the AM and another 30mg around 1pm, the thing is when i try to sleep (usually around 10-11PM), I am still WIDE awake for some reason, is this normal when using adderall? seems like it keeps me awake forever and the only way to stop the "up" feeling is to take my xanax which i am avoiding because i am tapering down from the xanax

not sure if its the xanax or opiate withdrawals or the adderall usage that is keeping me up..im leaning more towards the adderall usage which i plan on quitting after this prescription runs out(only 34 30mg's left)

Your reaction is normal, combined with benzo/opiate withdrawal, I'm surprised you're not staying awake longer...
