I hears Benedryl works good in combination with melatonin. I've never tried Benedryl though, as they don;t sell it here.
I do use melatonin as I have quite bad insomnia as well. When I am really bordering insanity I take a Zolpidem, but I try to avoid that as much as I can, for me this works wonders and knocks me out cold, which is exactly what I need at such times.

When it is less bad I can make due with Melatonin, Gaba seroquel and Trazodone ( last 2 prescribed by my doctor)
I hears that L- Tryptophan also works good with Melatonin, and its available OTC,

I am really want to understand what will combination is effective for good sleep.

I find unisom way more potent than benadryl. But you also feel extremely lethargic the next day, even hours after you wake up.

Ativan doesn't work for you?

What has your doctor prescribed? Take that. Were not really going to tell you what you should take to sleep?

If you have RLS then a Potassium / Magnesium supplement could help.

As this is posted in the 'Pillreports Discussion thread' I'm going to move this over to Healthy living where you may get some tips on a good nights sleep without the pills. If thats not what your looking for then it will probably get moved to 'other drugs'.

i have suffered insomnia on and off over the years. I have found the best thing is a routine. About two hours before I go to bed I walk my dog, come back have a bath using some lavender and chamomile, get out and rub in grapefruit oil (in a carrier) over achy muscles go to bed with a book after a bit of reading I put the book down light off and go to sleep it normally takes a week or so for the routine to work then it just happens. I have tried lots of different things over the years and I found this the best natural way that works for me good luck finding something that works for you.
