News Inside Sydney's meth hell as city becomes one of the biggest hotspots on the planet for the evil drug - with housewives and young professionals…

This headline is objectively terrible

For the record I dislike the effect meth has on people. But this isn't good journalism.

It’s horrible journalism, but I like to have the thread title match the article title so that it can be archived for future generations to look back on and realize how stupid most reporting on drugs was

yet he has a solid sense of how to sway and manipulate the masses.

cunning with little to no moral compass.

lets be kinder to the retards i usually find them endearing like young children .
I would give credit to Steve Bannon for trump's supposed "solid sense of how to manipulate the masses"

Trump's administration is largely to thank for the things trump himself is credited for.

sure you need to delegate in order to accomplish anything, but if trump was an idiot he would surround himself with ineffective people.

Drugs are no more 'evil' then a knife is. Just because some people got crazy on it doesnt mean there arent responsible people who use it ocassionally and responsibly.
But i guess thats too much nuance for these snooth brains and their constant plastering of their poor agenda.
Its such a cop out when people blame a drug or a tool insted of taking responsibility for their own poor actions... but no its the drug that made them do it! Nevermind no one forced thrm to take it and nevermind all the people who used it responsibly and moderately... no, it must be the drug! Personally responsibility doesn't exist apparently. Its just too easy to blame a chemical that cant argue back...
Disgusting how things are. For every step forward, its one or two back.

Will we ever see proper counciling and decrim of these things to minimise harm? I hope but itndoesnt look like it.
Much easier to just fill arrest and prison quotas instead of actually helping people out if their usage cycle.
I wonde why... cant be to do with money, right?

Government should become the dealer.. too many snouts in the trough for that to ever happen though.

I dont see the point to meth other than smoking it which I think is the path to hell.

personally I think amphetamine should be more readily available to fight this problem.

im all for legalisation but meth is a hard one to back.

I would legalise heroin way before meth.

I think the answer to the problem is not to legalise all illicit drugs but to open the pharmacy up to the public and have doctors advise patients rather than feed them.

then slowly test and legalise some of the illicit drugs through the pharmacy.

I dont know, it seems like in that scenario you are half pregnant. Some drugs legal others not which means it would be even more complicated to enforce etc...

The government being the drug dealer would effectively end the war on drugs (in the US a $51 billion dollars annual saving), theoretically reducing crime & prison populations that in the US have skyrocketed since the 70's (in 2020 there were over 1.1 million arrests for drug law violations of which just over 1 million were for drug possession not supply), give organised crime a kick in the nuts, increase the safety of using the drugs by ensuring quality control etc...

Like I said it will never happen, the war on drugs has a massive payroll, serves politicians, the legal industry, the military–industrial complex, the prison-industrial complex etc...

The problem lies in how far do you go.

Do we legalise sarin as well?
there must be a line chemistry is to powerful

How common is it in Sydney to hear someone yelling at top volume in the street, threatening violent retribution against their invisible tormentors?

How often do you see someone in a filthy blanket hovering over a trash can, mumbling constant updates of their progress in reorganizing the garbage?

Decriminalisation and regulation, not legalisation.

The "meth epidemic" in Australia is a red herring to keep the heat off the alcohol industry.

Especially now.. Think about it.. The pandemic with its closed borders and lockdowns kept drugs like meth from getting in, while the alcohol industry took full advantage of people being stuck at home.

still its alcohol that is making for the filthy blanket hovering over a trash can image.

if a meth head wanted a house they would just take it or at least there is a percentage of there community that would.

Nope it's legalization of Crystal Meth that's the answer and even with the lockdowns plenty of Crystal Meth still made it's way into Australia

it was already there I knew people running it.

were all linked in one way or another they just hold product and send it between the twin cities to were the cash is.

no way it wont we still have not got 4th gen meth addicts like the USA has.

your talking a wold of trumpites mate im with the dude wanting psilo for his church not the gangs using

stims to get the guts to make an earn.

this would never have happened to us if the DEA did not ban sassy as none of us wanted it as it was considered dirt.

I dont hate you guys for using it but if I had a daughter and you gave it to her I would be going back to prison in a heart beat.

Legalisation of methamphetamine? Oh.. I just had a quick look at the difference and I don't think people can agree on the exact definitions!

But yeah, it shouldn't be a crime to use it. I've been charged with possession and it was seriously the most ridiculous, corrupt thing ever.

You wouldn't want it sold at the corner store though. That's the problem with alcohol -- it's in my face constantly.

I wasn't using meth during the lockdowns so I wouldn't know, but I'm betting consumption of alcohol increased more than consumption of meth.

Btw, I was on another drug forum earlier today and someone from America had posted pics of their meth. Again it looked like one of my crystals from the hippy shop! What the actual hell.

ye there getting racemate from mexico that does not form crystals so they have to use other substances to form crystals with making for milky powdery rock.

I knew a few bee's that went down to mexico to show the dakin west reaction and resolution of the DL product but you loose 50% of your product and that does not make

for good profit

so over time the amount of cut copies have grown as they deviate away from there training and towards more money.

I couldnt sell a triad/viet here anything if it was not 90+ with a near perfect ee resolution to D meth.

they are to proud of there products.
