I was wondering if there is a difference between downloading a FREE personal photo App rather than just using a

free site from the web to upload to a third party site ? ( A photo App that would download to my android that is. )

Thnx if you know of one that would be possible. 🫶
 
Never mind. Because I suppose no matter how you drop the attachment to the third party it will still be connected to the www net anyway.

Am I right though !?
 
when you add an image on bl, the forum software just loads it from the url you provide.

how the image file gets there - to the url - is irrelevant to bl.

Also, are there any good photo up-loader Apps that I can download to my hard drive that are FREE ?


edit : I didn't want to use the apps from the internet however they all are linking to the first party up-loader

through an internet service so it would probably be irrelevant as far as the url not being linked to the

www ( internet ) anyway then ?

any app you use to upload apps is going to be linked to a specific image hosting site (e.g. imgur).

uploading to an image host is usually done with a simple web form but i understand there are third-party apps to make uploading 'easier' (in quotes because i'm not sure how it could be much easier than clicking a button on a web form...) :)

Alright. I think it is a matter of if I want to sign in to an account or just keep my images in my own personal computer files.

Once I link a photo as an attachment, however, it will be part of a cloud anyway. Except for the ones that I don't post. I am sure that

is just the way it is. Once it is hosted it will be part of the internet one way or another.

Public apps are available for anyone to find and download through app stores like Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Whereas private apps are restricted to a select group of users and are not publicly listed. They are instead distributed through private channels.

It's just a user perspective or preference of mobile app vs. web app. And in addition an App on a mobile device or PC can have a better user interface than something run in a web browser.

I'm still trying to figure out where my attachments go after imgur or like a post images link on to them as well.

At this point I guess it really doesn't much matter. However I can't help to still wonder. :unsure:

Can it be censored ... or are the private accounts secure. I'm sure I know, I just thought more into it all.

If my attachments get deleted, is it admin here or is it the hosting site deleting my content.

For instance in the thread pictures of my Stash who deleted the attachments. Which is prolly

irrelevant at this point. However I don't think that it was this Forum that did the deleting.

That is all.

Who is concerned with my content ? ( the attachment with stash )
 
Edit : It has been know to be called a glitch as well. :unsure: Lol. I dunno.

That's why I wondered.
 
The host for uploading is deleting attachments and I don't know how they get access.


.... And I"m starting to not care. I have my own Files. But once it gets out into the interweb it's being eliminated somehow !!


I guess Glitch is It !!!

if you are linking to content, your content is not on bluelight - your browser loads it from your host and displays it.

so if your post here is not displaying your content, the issue is likely at your host.

This IS my POST so I Do UNDERSTAND. post 3,508.

I UNDERSTAND that somehow my posts are being eliminated by the Host OBVIOUSLY.

So another way of stating is My attachments are being viewed somehow and eliminated.


That is All !!!!!!!! Post 3,508 Deleted. How ???? Why ???

See It IS my POST and attachment that has ' Got Goned ' somehow.

Any idea's .... I know. .... My File Is Being Looked at then Eliminated !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The URL on Bluelight ( pointed @ Postmages.org) is still intact but the file itself can no longer be found there. Postimages.org very likely deleted the image; some free image hosting sites delete images after some period of time. Bluelight has no control over the actual image or when the host decides to delete it , BL just retrieves the image from the site hosting it. Once the host no longer keeps the link active Bluelight can no longer retieve and display it.
