:!So i have tried all the benzo's with my adderall like married with children you cant have one without the oooooooooooother lol. atleast for me because i suffer from adhd anxiety and panic attacks. Just curious is all. On the effects and if you guys have any questions ill help out. I been on both these medications for years and have built up an extremely high tolerance i wont mention. But depending on what your using them for and why your using the combo im interested to see doses as well as which one and effects.=D

This isn't appropriate for Advanced Drug Discussion.

I'm moving it on over to Basic Drug Discussion...but this really is something that you need to speak with your doctor about...the best bet is to reduce your Adderall dosage so you're not suffering from anxiety issues. The last thing you want is an addiction to both amphetamines and benzos at the same time.

ADD --> BDD

^ This.

If you getbad anxiety or panic everytime you take your adderall it should be lowered or even switched to something else. But I've had the best results with klonopin and adderall as long as its enough klonopin because it's not super strong but it lasts long.

ok. i figured this would be moved. Im not saying i specifcally get anxiety everytime i take my adderall. But with anxiety. its going to happen with adderall or without it with benzo's or with out them there is no way around it. And the reason i asked. is because i do not care how much of a stimulant someone takes you may not have anxiety or so you think but it still raises your blood pressure and heart rate no matter what. And they cause a crash effect even at the smallest dose possible for anyone. so i never heard of anyone being on them without needing benadryl or something to sleep and the benzo's if not used for anxiety could be used to lower blood pressure and heart rate and relax you. Because your using the adderall for adhd to help you remain calm focused and alert. And all the benzo would do is make you more calm and mellow because of its action on your gaba receptors while not effecting the action of the adderall at all by increasing its strength or decreasing. Now if you take a small dose of a stim med and a huge dose of benzo ofcourse its going to throw you for a loop and the benzo would over power the stimulant. But even without any noticable side effects, from the stimulant medication its still doing harm to your body. So its always good to have a med to counter the effects. along with supplements ect. all in moderation But about the klonopin i would agree its not that strong it last longer. with the longest half life besides valuime out of all the benzo's But ill let this thread go i can already see where it is goin. I take xanax with my adderall. And it seems to work great. thanks

FWIW, I've taken ativan, klonopin, xanax, and valium w/ adderall. I still prefer kpins due to their relatively mild nature in low doses. Very effective to treat anxiety, and also quite long lasting (ativan will peak and trough over one stim high.. no good).

Indeed. Lorazepam (Ativan) isn't long acting enough to take at the same time as an amphetamine. Alprazolam (Xanax) is even shorter-acting. These benzos are more appropriate for taking at the end or near the end of an amphetamine experience. Longer acting benzos such as clonazepam (Klonopin) or diazepam (Valium) are more appropriate for taking with the amphetamine dose.

However, all benzos carry risks of tolerance and addiction. This topic has been discussed many times and since the OP seems to have gotten the answer they wanted, I'm going to close this thread.
