It's not even worth trying any of the other pharmacies.

Where I live Rite Aid Pharmacies are one of the worst ones. They NEVER sell needles to people without a diabetes card or something like that. And they are particularly rude about it as well.

In order to get needles you are forced to go to other pharmacies because you are GUARANTEED to have no luck at a Rite Aid. I guess it just depends o where you live and who works at the store.

I even went into a Rite Aid not that long ago and asked if they sold micron filters, and they asked me why i wanted it. I was like, is that your fucking business? Its not illegal to have a micron filter, so they have no right asking me why i want to purchase one. It was absolutely rediculous, and of course they gave me a shitload of attitude. im never going to a rite aid again.

You make a very good point. It has a lot to do with where you live and the pharmacy employee, and I am sure the laws vary state-to-state.

I feel the same way about Walgreens as you do about Rite Aid.

That's absurd that they hassled you over a micron filter. I would have just said I need it for a chemistry experiment or whatever.

Up here in NC, the Rite Aids must be different, because I have gone to Rite Aids in different parts of the state, and not once had a problem. It might also help that I was almost always clean cut, so they probably never thought much of me. I did have a few odd looks, but they always sold them to me. I might have been lucky, but all my friends went to Rite Aids to get their rigs. One of my friends got some at a Kerr Drug.

Take it easy.

It seems like rudeness comes with the job if you're a pharmacist.
 
Has anyone got little bit of a rash red bumps around the injection site? It doesn't itch or hurt, I hit the vein perfectly and injected really slow. I'm wondering if its alcohol wipe I used. I think I noticed it one time after I shot tar. This time I shot a couple Oxy IR 10s , stupid without a micron filter. I know. I triple filtered it with cottons. (New package of sterile jumbo q-tips). I cleaned the spoons with an alcohol pad then really hot water, let the spoons cool off. I hope its just some histamine reaction. I shot in the upper basilic vein, never shot there before. Injection went fine though. I think i should Not have cleaned the spoons with an alcohol pad. Any opinions on this. I'm too much of an anxious person to be IV'ing anyway. Shooting oxy seems like such a waste too. If it was actually pill matter in my blood it wouldn't just be in that one spot right?- Definitely didn't miss, felt the rush, no burning. Registered after insertion, after releasing the tourniquet and once half way through the shot. My arm is sore from lifting weights too, so it makes me keep thinking something is wrong.

God shooting dope is addictive. I don't even know why I shot the Oxy, that is definitely the last time for that. I think I like plugging oxy way better. Was craving a rush I guess.

I get rigs at walmart no questions asked. They have a little cards you grab with all the different sizes, then bring it to the pharmacy counter and they grab them for you.

Injection site was just right of the freckle/mole on the left. Can't see a needle mark or anything. Rash seems to get better and then worse and so on. Changes pretty quickly. This was 90minutes ago, I'm sure its fine but I'm always paranoid.

Looks like a histamine reaction take some benadryl and see if it goes down if it last for more then a few hours then you got something else going on

You misread. I registered again halfway through the shot because I flinched a little. I always release the tie BEFORE injecting.

I just scrubbed the shit outta a spot on my leg with one of my new alcohol pads, got the same rash. So I'm gonna chuck the new pads and get some different ones.

Thanks for your concerns though I just get really paranoid sometimes, its gone now.
 
Quick question

I know I asked earlier but,
Is it good to wipe your spoon with an alcohol pad (IPA) before using? Or should I just sterilize it with hot water. Also wiping syringe tip after sticking in cotton before injection?

(Mods: as I understand it, giving sources for HR material - i.e. clean needles - is OK. Feel free to delete this post if I'm mistaken).

Amazon is now selling syringes: I have also seen them sold on eBay.

My tap water gets extraordinarily hot. I've burnt myself a few times in the shower. So I usually just use that. The one time I cleaned the with IPA pad I got that small rash I took the picture of. It doesn't hurt or itch or anything. Just mentally it was really bothersome, thinking about whatever fillers were in the pills I shot and if they were gonna make me sick.

Does anyone think the rush from IV oxy is almost non-existent? I get high definitely, but the rush really isn't there. Maybe thats just the way it is if you have IV diluadid a lot, then shoot chiva a few times before ever trying IV oxy. I've done it 3 times and been really disappointed every time, I always end up snorting a couple after I shoot. Seems to help a little.

my arm is starting to hurt 5 days after two injections, 5mm apart.....slight bruise appeared.....

i cant tell if that is healing, because my arm was tense last two days, but today is not. or something bad is happening...... the vein, my right basilic, seems to be fine.... and the punctures have healed.....

was never swollen or red....proper injections, not missed....

ideas? i just wanna be all good and safe....clean, and go leave a UA at my bupe doc.....

so i can go do it all over again.....

I'm not sure why that is. I don't think it's anything majorly wrong though unless it's really bad pain.
 
^ just kinda soar, not super painful....the pain just started a couple hours ago.......

i can still get the vein to pop......
 
Missed Injection Trouble!

Okay, so my friend spent the night last night and was shooting up a supposed legal Mephedrone or Methylone item called Molly's Plant Food. He was complaining of it burning his veins yet couldn't stop doing it and proceeded to miss a few veins completely. I believe it may have some kind of acid in it because when he added normal water to the yellowish powder it fizzed up.

The particular bad spot is on his left wrist around the major vein on the right side that continues up to the thumb. He wants to know if he should go to the hospital or not. There is a large swollen area around the missed spot on the vein with slight bruising. He says it hurts when he moves it certain ways and when opening his hand. Also there is a numbness/tingling sensation going up from the spot of the missed shot into the hand and felt greatly in the fingertips. The tingling has been getting more and more noticeable in the past few hours. His hand has been turning a whitish color but that may be from dehydration or not eating or sleeping in the past couple days.

Any ideas? And does anyone know if this plant food thing is the pure chemical? I have a strong feeling it's not.
 
This is the inherent problem with these types of research chemicals, you never know what is in them.

Whatever it was, it does sound like your friend needs medical care. With risks like losing one's hand (or worse) it is definitely advisable to see a doctor.

Why would you shoot a substance that does this? I don't know much about chemistry or anything, but something that fizzes in water doesn't sounds horrible to be putting in the veins.

I cut a lil line around the inflamed area and squeezed out a little of the miss shot and a wee bit of puss. I stuck some triple anti biotic cream on it, and bandaged. My hand is basically 95% bback too normal. My upper arm also tingled but within the last few hours both my arm and hand feel normal. It's still very slightly swollwn but almost gone. Thanks for the help.

You are correct, harm reduction products are OK to source. We have an IV Product Review Thread specifically to discuss the different brands of HR products. :)
