it might be in the right arm too cuz i just shot into a vein inside the elbow there too. well at least im contributing to symmetry, if pain if not something better

where should i poke the needle next?
 
i'd probably put the needle down for a while and not risk missing any more shots and harming yourself. why not try an alternative ROA like plugging or snorting?

i'd be more concerned about the health position you're in at the moment and not on getting extra high. look after yourself, you've only got one body. if the problem is progressively deteriorating then go see a doctor ASAP, no fucking about.

this is harm reduction, remember.

and everyone would tell you what an idiot you were and not to do it, that's as far as we can reach out to you. if you're going to do it then there's not us stopping you. i wouldnt expect help in the future though. i know you're joking, but that's a ridiculous cry for attention.

you've fucked up a couple of shots already and you're in pain and you want to continue this compulsive behaviour? it sounds like you have some addiction problems? your hands are probably unsteady, you're probably fighting off some anxieties of the pain which is going to make it harder on each shot. if you MUST inject something then make it saline solution to practice your technique before wasting anymore drugs and missing more shots and continually causing yourself more problems. do you have any intention of seeing help for this or are you going to keep trying to get high?

plugging is the exact same setup as IV except the needle obviously doesnt have the tip on it. there are enough plugging guides throughout OD for you to search and read one.

i now dont even think the wrist pain is from the injecting AT ALL, its the muscle and bone, i think its carpal tunnel. both shots werent "missed", they wre clean, my hands were not shaking u contemptuous computer nimrod, good rush etc. barely even left red dots. and they didnt hurt whatsoever. the stabbing pain is in both wrists and hands and is worse when i rest them again the table.

and saying bL is about harm reduction is seriously like saying America went to Vietnam or Iraq or Afghanistan for peace and love

but maybe thats also something better to merge wit other 10,00000000 other such "topical threads"

just sweep it all under the table ;)

Bluelight really is about harm reduction, that is no joke. Take a look at the Case Studies thread.

To be honest, Leftwing is not pretentious at all he is just trying to be helpful. If you have missed a few times, it might be better to lay off IVing, or at least get a friend to help you out when injecting. It's much easier to IV with someone else helping you instead of doing it yourself.

you can not run around being dependent on other people to get you off - put your elbow on your knee - make sure your lighting is good - tie off really well so you are sure that you can see the vein clearly, then go in from the side, not the top.

It is vitally important, IMO, that you learn to get yourself off.

yesive missed a fewtimes but not ever worse than a tiny lump and a very mild bruise
sure that suck, but even it happens to everyone, even nurses and doctors have fucked up to that level on me many times. suggesting i dont IV is good advice. but the way it came across was another mod being a strict mother or something - that doesnt work with druggies lol. and BL i know is "supposed" to be about harm reduction - but how many of us actually buy into that kind of politically correct BS? 8)
 
angela, you mean to get into the side as in, point the needle more horizontally (parallel) along your arm, right? of course. i dont point the fucking thing straight down (yes i have seen ppl do that lol!!! christ)

Just cause your fucking up your shots and/or limbs and blowing your high isn't a good excuse to come on BL and act like an asshat, where all where trying to do is help you. You fucked up and shot up in a bad way and made a shit ton of posts, and when everyone told you till chill you got all bitchy when you ran out of places to hit and blamed your problems on flu shots and BL mods....

You stabbed yourself with a needle full of drugs and it went wrong, it happens at least once to all IV'ers

You nee to make sure hats shit straight and chill with the needle for maybe a few days. Having a huge lump in both the crooks of your arm full of coke numbing your limbs to the point you could drive nails with them is no fun.

I disagree. You can easily have a friend who helps you and you help them just as much. IVing with someone else is a lot easier, doing it by yourself is a lot more difficult. Not to say it can't be done in seconds at all...it's just something that I know I wouldn't be as good at as using with someone else. It just makes more sense to have an extra pair of hands - I have rarely ever missed this way. I think the reason why CD is missing so much is because he's doing this himself, I might be wrong, but it sounds like it.

If you get better skill, or a partner to help you out, it should be feasible to shoot around 5 times a day if you have good veins and circulate injection sites.

It's good to know you're only attempting this 5 times in a few weeks, some people try shooting up and they try it again that many times in the next few minutes.

It's important to take your time and be comfortable and ready when IVing instead of trying to rush it (being trigger happy like many people are). It sounds like you're taking your time which is good.
 
I find the damage seems to be permanent but my veins were in a far worse state so yours may improve with (lots of) time. Circulate sites and use fresh sharps every time to reduce the damage but if you inject anything with any degree of regularity you'll screw your veins sooner or later :\
 
ok i did a shot into the righ arm just now in th e big fat fave vein :)
went perfectly.
registered, kept the needle perfectly still, injected slowly, felt incredibly huge rush. (and i mean incredible. thats why im pstychologically hooked on the stuff already)

but STILL a tiny TINY little "bump" appeared on the injection site. its like, smaller than a BB, and is a teensy bit sore. this happens EVERY time i inject "correctly"< and usually with other ppl too even nurses. although, very seldomly, the same shot will be replicated but without the lump. so these lumps dont seem indicative of missed shots - ive had those too , missed shots many times, and they are usually worse- i.e. worse pain, bigger lumps, bruise marks or some such, and a crappier rush if any at all.

so what are these "bull's eye bumps" ??????

* applying hot compress to the site several times just now, has reduced the "bumpy booboo" to almost nil, or even nothing (can't tell atm). it is a tiny bit sore tho.

i guess this is normal.

i am actually hitting myself better than some nurses do. also, all the "mature" junkies i know say they miss shots all the time because hitting yourself is hard especially if it's your first fo the day

but getting a "register" and the rush afterward to me, is not a mised shot, unless its followed by serious pain and the obvious bump. if there is no or maybe 0.00000000001 mm bump afterward, and a huge rush after the beautiful dark red "register", then that's a HIT. i dont care if the mods do better lol. if u think ur so special come live with me and be my personal live-in injector-slave.
 
Need help immediatley please, please, please!

OK I REALLY NEED A QUICK RESPONSE BECAUSE I THINK I COULD HAVE FUCKED MYSELF UP...

I WAS IVng some dope, i thought i was in the vein, i had dark blood registered in the syringe, but upon injecting it, i got a sharp shooting pain that started to burn sorta got the pins & needles feeling. my arm started to feel kinda hot and then it got a tingly feeling. next my arm and hand got really swollen and part of my hand and arm turned red. my arm/hand never got numb or anything, just swollen and red.

i have no clue what i did but im worried like shit. i have never had a feeling like this before...

i have done the dope 100's of times so i know its not a reaction from that, pr at;east i believe that.

ANYONE WITH ANY EXPERIENCE WITH SOMETHING LIKE THIS, OR ANYONE WHO IS IN MEDICAL FIELD CAN HELP ME OR GIVE ADVICE, WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED...AND A QUICK RESPONSE WOULD BE BETTER, SINCE I DONT KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON.. POST IN THE THREAD OR PM ME, EMAIL ME, OR EVEN INSTANT MESSAGE ME. THANK YOU SO MUCH...

***this all happened around 8:10-8:15pm EST. its now 8:30pm EST and the swelling is going down a little, the redness is going away a little too, buts it still feels weird and is still swollen/red. i can feel the effects of the dope, if that means anything...i didnt get a rush really, but the effects of the high are still there...
