My old roommate I met through a drug rehab (which I later believe was a cult, or at least cult-like place) came in with some nasty looking shiny purple lines in his arms. He did IV coke/heroin/meth for I think 4 years or so.
I'm telling you this because I'm not judging you at all. Hey, we're all drug users here. Some of us worse than others, but that doesn't mean shit IMO. Some of us "need" it more than others I think.
Anyways, I would suggest trying to switch ROA. (routes of administration) I would suggest chasing the dragon if you're heroin is compatible. It will hit you very quick, and there is a rush to it, just not like IVing. I think you obviously need to get away from the needle at this point man. The fact you let it get this bad is not a good sign. I believe you should be able to at least try it this way. Sure it's not going to be what you're used to, but do you want veins or not? I mean they aren't just useful for IVing you know...that's not why they are there.
I agree with the prescription for exercise too. Keeping very hydrated can help you get more vascular as well. If you leave them alone long enough, you will grow new ones - maybe even big ones, and the scars will heal and you won't look so bad. (My roommate who is still clean since I've met him has no more shiny purple vein lines in his arms, you can't really even tell that he ever did unless you are searching for it. It's just a kinda dark line in his arm that could be attributed easily to a cut wound or something else. He works construction and his veins came back just as big as I've ever seen them too.)
Please consider your options at this point. I don't think continuing to IV should be one of them, but alas I nor anyone else can change your mind, only try to give your our points of view and maybe some suggestions you hadn't thought of.
Good luck my friend! I hope you find a suggestion that fits your needs.
