Yeah this HURT. It was a strong stinging pain that shot down my arm real quick, then instant swelling of the hand and my whole arm was covered in crazy hives and swollen bad. Not what your expecting when you plunge and your waiting for that ever so good IV heroin rush and instead you get major pain and swelling. This was years ago but I still remember to this day running out of the bathroom all freaked out trying to explain to my g/f why i went in the bathroomn to take a crap and came out talking about "I need to go to the ER now" Im still not sure how she didn't wonder how it happened... ... ...
 
I'm really sorry to laugh at your situation and I feel horrible for what you had to go through, but imagining someone going to take a shit and coming out with "instant swelling of the hand and the whole arm covered in crazy hives and swollen bad" is pretty damn funny!. You must be a damn smooth talker to pull that shit off! haha

Don't worry today it's totally funny to look back on and think "What the hell was I thinking, and HOW did I not get crazy questions out of that". She assumed it was a weird allergic reaction to my meds because they had just switched one of my meds that morning. Even the Dr. was like "wow you must of had a bad allergic reaction" when I went and saw him the next day. I sat there thinking "Yeah, god damnit im allergic to heroin, this sucks!" lol. Even though I knew right away when it happened I totally fucked up and shot my artery. At the time I was scared like crazy. Now looking back at it and still being able to type with my left arm I think it's just funny & another one of "those stories".
 
missed shot

i let my brother shoot me up with 20mg of opana (2 of the 10mg pink one's). I didnt feel any sort of high from it, but it didnt hurt immediately after either. However now, 2 nights later, my right arm is hurting really bad. there's no visible swelling, but it is definitely tender under the skin and painful.
Im really starting to think that he missed the shot completely, but im somewhat stumped because it didnt hurt until the day after. If he did miss, how come i didnt feel the miss, and how bad is it to have missed with that much pill under my skin? i filtered fairly well, but hey, im not perfect
 
Go see a doctor. That it got worse over time is a possible indication of infection. At least waltz through your city's free/cheapo clinic and get it glanced at.

yea don't play around with shooting up if it hurts a couple days after you did the shoot i shoot up everyday and when i miss i hurts instantly never starts hurting days later so please go get yourself checked out cause i don't want you losing any limbs i'm out PEACE take care bro

Sorry, but shooting pills often has this outcome. And the fact that no rush was obtained, indicates it was either an IM or SC injection

It's not really a skill. You're only going to filter as well as tools allow, and even if you did use a micron filter, chances are talc is still in the shot. And if you used cotton, well, it's a certainty your shot was not clean. Go read the Case Studies thread, b/c it's clear that the earlier you get in to see a doc, the less damage will be inflicted. The cost of 1 brief ER visit + antibiotics is nothing compared to a 1 month stay (as one woman had in the case studies, and she lost her fingers)

im going to wait one more day... If by then it is still sore and tender, then I am going to check out one of them cheap/free clinics...promise
 
you know... i just reread your post... i find it incredibly odd that you didnt have any pain until 2 days later... in which case i think your best bet is a doctor...
 
today it is feeling alot better, and I emphasize alot. If it starts to swell, hurt or get worse than what it is, im not going to hesitate to make a doctor or ER visit. Thank you everybody's support and collective knowledge; it really can be a life saver.. :)
 
Burning feeling in feet after shooting up...

Last night I shot up some h and the bottom of my feet started to feel like they were burning and it hurt and they felt really itchy. I wasn't sure if it was from the heroin untell today when I did it it happened again but this time it wasthe bottom of my feet, the back of my knees (like the crease on the back of my legs) and my lips kind of had the itchy/burning feeling too. It only lasts for a minute or two but I was wondering if anyone knew what the hell causes this, and if this is something bad or if I should be worried.
 
Im not sure if this is what it definitely is but it could be just a histamine reaction from the H or maybe there was some unreacted morphine left in the H which makes you really fucking itchy, but the burning sensation sounds a but weird to me.

Im sure someone else will have some more productive information for you. I wouldnt worry too much atm unless you start feeling pain or swelling or something way out of the ordinary happens. To me though it just sounds like the gear you have.
 
ive seen people break out into weird rashes and stuff from shooting some dope... idk if its a histamine reaction or whatever... but if it goes away in a few min... then i wouldnt really worry about it...

dope changes more often than we like to think. if you buy stamps, they stamps may not change but the dope can. I used to shoot morphine a lot and got the reaction 100% of the time. Sometimes with a good shot of dope i got the pins and needles too, like the ketaman said, prob just some unreacted morphine. If it makes you really uncomfortable you can take some benadryl before hand or even put some in your shot.
 
I've had this before too, but only when shooting in the foot. I thought that I had dug too deep and put it into an artery. Could this be right?
 
^if it's an intense itching/burning feeling i would assume it's a histamine release. were there any other symptons after the itching and burning stopped?
