Dwade, I know that here in Orlando, Target will sell syringes to anyone without question. My boyfriend gets them there. He thinks its because they would rather have people shooting up with clean needles than dirty ones. Maybe its the same where you live in south Florida? Its worth a try.

Sounds exactly like cotton fever. I've experienced it about 3 times, and the symptoms definitely fit, especially the characteristic uncontrollable shaking, which I absolutely hate. Feels like being dopesick and having the flu at the same time. Luckily it usually spontaneously resolves itself within a couple hours (for me, at least).

There could have been some type of bacteria that got into your system. You should really make an effort to use clean supplies. Also, NEVER reuse a piece of cotton. I know it may be tempting because you think "there's probably some oxy left in the cotton," but when you re-use cotton you're asking for trouble. Be careful bro.

I loaded up a shot of dope and went to register, and then slipped out of the vein, now my shot is completely blood red looking in the syringe and I can't re-register and tell if I'm in the vein now. Should I just throw this syringe out and waste the product or can I still safely shoot this blood/dope mix, and if yes, how so?

first off, you dont want the blood thats in the barrel to coagulate so make sure to keep it under very warm water for a few seconds at a time before you try to hit it again, also, before you stick it, pull back on the plunger a tiny tiny bit forming a tiny air bubble, when u stick it and pull back to register, your blood will fill in that tiny bubble which will in turn, take up all airs space and let you know that you are in, its not the way they would do it in the docs office, but whos got the supply to do all that shit over and over again? i would say so just eat it or squirt it into a capsule after about 5 minutes if you dont hit it by then

If you have an opiate tolerance, 20mg of oxycodone isn't a too terribly large dose.

You should use a micron filter if you're going to inject OC's.

We also don't use "SWIM" here, that's completely unnecessary as it won't give you any legal protection whatsoever in a court of law.

Also, when you're on meth, it's not as easy to "get high" or feel opiates, so to speak. However, it appears this has been a reasonable combination for you to help with the comedown. How often do you take oxycodone, or any other opiates?

I've been using opiates for aboout 8 yrs, my choice shot of oc would b around 40 mgs and .25 xanax sublingually.

Then it's probably just your tolerance, you might have just needed more oxy since meth can easily mask other downers unless you take a reasonable amount.

I prefer triazolam sublingually (also 0.25mg) because it doesn't taste as bad.

shoot up in a vein that's pretty close to the results of a missed shot? i'd say the spot i need to hit is about an inch away from enlarged and hardened muscle tissue...thanks in advance.

yeah, try and avoid that vein altogether until that spot has healed. it only makes missing again that much easier, you learn from my own mistakes.

Well, it sounds like a bad idea anyway, and if you're asking a question that starts with "is it a bad idea to...," its probably a bad idea. Anyway I know you know that. Here's my opinion. If its 'down' the vein, further from your heart, don't do it. If its 'up' the vein, and closer to your heart (so that what you are shooting does not pass through the inflamed area), it might be OK - but why not just use another vein? Your body is symmetrical you know.

well i really only have one good spot left. it's on my left arm 3-5 inhes down from the crook of my elbow which runs along the right side of my arm and then thru the crook of my elbow. it used to be collapsed, but i hadn't used it in like 18months and it's working/looking better, until sometimes i'll poke in a vein only to find i an't push it in anymore because it sends a sharp sharp pain to my hand/fingers (is that hitting a nerve or something?)

you should be able to tell if you are or arent in the vein by the amount of pressure you hafta apply to the plunger. atleast i can.

Confused dope fiend--Painful Rush

ok so I have been IV'ing H off and on for 5 years. Just recently started again (last night) and after injecting I get a strange intense rush. It kinda hurts. My whole body starts to tingle in a bad way and it stings. ( NO, I am not missing). My whole body itches and stings for like 30 seconds to a minute. My heads painfully tingles and my ass starts to uncomfortably itch. I also tighten up. After about 30 seconds to minute it all goes away and I have a nice high. I think that I might be shooting a little too much and I am just close to going out? Any help??? Could it be my cooking process? I use clean needle everytime and use normall cooking process? Do you think I am just doing a little too much or it is something in the H? I dont think it is the H because this use to happen a while ago.

Sounds like a morphine rush.. with the histamine reaction. creating a burning sensation through your body after you shoot it. So your H might be cut with morphine maybe?

+1 for the "histamine reaction" or release. all opiates, not just morphine trigger histamine release, just morphine is known to have the most pronounced effects.

its definately happened to me before using BTH. it was a painful rush, exactly like you describe - it made me claw at my face because it was so flushed and itchy/pins-needles feeling. very odd to experience it so strongly from heroin but not uncommon/unlikely.
