Is this dope? I've had H that colored my vein red. It was also very itchy and inflamed for a little while. It most likely has a good portion of morphine in it. It causes a heavier histamine reaction.

You're saying that the whole vein is dark and inflammed or something? I've never experienced that before... Could you take a picture?

Are you sure you didn't hit an artery? Please provide more detailed information.

Use concealer makeup. Theres this kind called trueblend I think... it changes color slightly to match your skin tone . It's like 7 dollars a bottle I think, but it works really well and has saved my ass a few times. I always keep concealer with me.

Also, try using the veins on the top of your arms, where theres hair. My tracks are pretty much not noticeable at all.

My arm hurts from shooting, dont think I missed though,

Right when I finished injecting h the needle went kinda far into my arm and it hurt pretty bad. My arm looked fine but today (that happened last night) my arm feels really sore right there. Do you think it'll hurt to shoot in the same area on that arm?
Just curious to hear if maybe someones experienced this and what happened to them

Sometimes my arm get's soar even when I don't miss. I would try shooting in your other arm if you can and give that spot time to heal. Your arm will thank you , it's best to constantly rotate injection sites :)

the needle went in further? like into your muscle? maybe some of the shot leaked into your muscle or you've obviously poked your muscle. avoid the spot until it clears up.

iv and arm pain - missed hit?

hi. i looked at this thread: Injection Complications and Information MEGATHREAD and FAQ

but i wanted opinions and advice. i had a missed hit yesterday and the site started to hurt, my viens got tight in my antecubital. i figured, it was because of the missed hit and it would go away. but today, it really hurts to straighten out my arm and to totally bend it.

am i just still reacting to the missed hit?

thanks

I had what you describe on the crook of my arm. at first I thought it was a particle or something stuck in their. And sure enuf it cleared within the week. but im no doc

yes. i was reusing a needle that was probably past its prime and i think that may have something to do with it. i knew i missed because i didn't get the rush (as much, i think i got some of it in) and it became red and blotchy around the site. i could see it going into little viens too. it is also a site that has been used for years for regular and frequent blood tests and already had scarring. there is no sign of infection. it is just swollen a bit and hurts to straighten and totally bend my arm.

In other words what should be flexible vein tissue is now hard scar leathery tissue. Not being able to stretch out your arm to the full is typical. It may still get a bit worse (harden a bit more), then it will take weeks to fully disappear. I wonder if it can be due only to missed shots because it tends to extend to whole lengths of veins. It's like the vein was "cooked" from the inside by corrosive liquid. I take it you injected C.

if you looked at the IV complications thread you should have posted it in there, that's the whole idea of the thread:\. im merging it in there now.

Do you think missed shot of pure blood can cause troubles, You know the ritual, you pull back once your shot is done to "rinse" the syringe, then shoot in again. I usually repeat this 2-3 times. This time it was with bupe. I was in whole time 100%, just when I was rinsing 3rd time I happened to miss a bit and now I got a bulge. Can blood miss cause complications? It looks like regular miss, Barely hurts, a bit tender, small bulge, no redness and I know that it will 99.9% go away in matter of hours / day at most. But I am always paranoid about bupe (this is 3rd time i've shot bupe)

Time to go to work anyway. Thanks for replies in advance.
Work sucks :(

Is anyone familiar with increased edema in feet ankles and lower legs, possibly related to increased IV heroin use.

I inject in my arms with no complications, however, I noticed moderate dependent edema a week or two ago, that would resolve by elevating my legs while sleeping.

Now I have swollen feet, ankles and hard painful skin im ny shin and calf area.

Could this be a problem with my kidneys? Decreased,or impaired function due to increased use?

I have had this happen before, however not quite as pronounced, and it resolved once I decreased my dosage and eventually stopped.

Is anyone familiar with an issue like this. If so, what do you recommend?

Thank you for any information.

^a few reasons could be because, once again, opiates are a water rententive drug and with the lower blood flow in the feet and legs (in comparison to your upper body) the drug will have a harder time passing through the blood vessels causing the buildup. by elevating your legs you are raising them almost level with your heart and allowing for a better flow, therefore the fluid buildup depletes. you could try doing simple and easy leg exercises to increase the blood flow and help the build up pass through if you're not too busy nodding out;)

you should simply stop shooting in the lower region of your body and stick to your upper body. find different spots to hit and rotate so you can avoid having to go to your legs and feet. plugging is another option as well.

From the OP

Having a second hit to ‘sort out’ a bad one

Some injectors have expressed a belief that the best way to deal with a ‘dirty hit’ (an acute reaction to injection, characterised by shivering and sweating that is usually self-limiting) is to inject again.

Whatever the cause of the reaction, repeating the procedure could at best make the experience worse, and at worst cause overdose.

Err....In the past, whenever the tell tale signs of a dirty hit made themselves known, I always had another shot (with new, fresh works) and it ALWAYS made the dirty hit much more bearable.

For me, that is definitely not a myth.

What's the point of drawing in blood and shooting it?
