Injecting Opana ER

Has anybody managed to find a way to shoot Opana ER tablets? I have NO interest in doing this myself, and would strongly advise anyone thinking about it to reconsider. But I remember that when they were introduced one of their major selling points was that they could not be turned into an injectable solution. (IIRC, they had to pull Numorphan off the market after lots of addicts started coming down with bad cases of death).

I'm going to be quite impressed if the makers of Opana were able to create a pill which the best opiate-addled minds of our generation were unable to put in their veins. But given that I've not heard any trip reports from people injecting Opana -- and, thankfully, no obituary notices -- it could well be that the Opana ER mechanism truly is uncrackable by even the most dedicated home chemist.

Your stomach manages to break down pills with acid.

It doesn't really take dedication to crush up a pill, dissolve it in acidified liquid and let it sit overnight.

You may need to keep it warm/heat it every now and then and add a little extra solution though

Have you (or anyone you know) done this? I thought that something like this would be the ticket, but I wasn't sure if anyone had figured out the specifics.

Personally, I find that Opana ER works just fine going up my nose on special occasions. I would rather not pick up an IV habit, particularly with something as powerful as oxymorphone. My curiosity was more academic. I remember the TimeRX dosing system being presented as impossible to abuse intravenously: IIRC, that was the main reason oxymorphone tablets were reintroduced to the market. And I've generally found that any "abuse-proof" formula will be cracked within a few months if the potential euphoria is strong enough.

I haven't heard about anyone (on this forum at least) shooting Opana ERs and remember the first reports suggested that attempts to do so resulted in a completely useless gelatinous substance. So I thought perhaps the secret hadn't been cracked yet.

No, I don't have experience with opana.

But I don't see why it couldn't be done if you had the time

I have just IV'd a small amount of Opana 20mg ER.

I started by sniffing about 15 mg of it and figured I'd try to send the rest about an hour later.

The only problem is that you need an excessive amount of water for only about 5mg (the amount I sent) to dilute the gel. If you were to try to send ten mgs or more then you would need to mix it up in a kettle and send it with a turkey baster.

I have read also that there is a method involving iso alcohol and running the solution through a cotton in a syringe, and then heating the alcohol off to dissolve all time release. I am not sure if this will work, but wasn't about to try as isopropyl in the veins prob wouldn't feel too good if it went awry.

All in all it wasn't really worth it for that amount, small rush but nothing to call home about. I'm just going to stick to good ol' insufflation.
