Hello all.
Last week I was hospitalised with a nasty bout of acute pancreatitis. The first time I have ever had it, holy shit, the pain is intense! Anyway, I do not have gall stones, so the cause is almost certainly alcohol. Whilst I am not an alcoholic, I am certainly an "enthusiastic" drinker and have consumed at least 3-4 standard drinks most days for the last 8 years or so. I also have Type 1 (insulin dependant) diabetes, which I have had since I was 6 years old (I'm now 28).
I was told by the doctors to stay off the booze for a couple of months and then very slowly and carefully reintroduce alcohol to my diet if I wished to and not to go overboard. I'm going to go 6 months without drinking and see how I go from there.
My question is: before I was discharged I asked my doctor whether there was any risk of further damage/another case of pancreatitis from using other recreational substances such as MDMA and methamphetamine. He said as long as I didn't go overboard and stayed hydrated and kept my use infrequent I should be fine.
Does anyone on here have any experience or knowledge in this area? I'd like to use meth in about 1 month's time. Usually I shoot it, 2 points, 1 point at a time and that will keep me sufficiently happy for 2 days. However I'm thinking this may be a bit too much of a shock to the system and perhaps it would be better to drop 30mg into a pipe and have a bit of a twirl, see how that hits my body and proceed from there.
Is my love for recreational substances clouding my judgement here, is this an idiotic idea? Or do you think this would be a (relatively) safe method of reintroducing stimulants to my body? Your thoughts and knowledge are appreciated.
