the size of whats getting through depends on the size of pores on the filter. you can get micron filters which will filter out debris .22u in size.

you should read up and look into micron filtering if this is a regular practice of yours. your body, especially circulatory system, will thank you, because, as you pointed out, its got nowhere to go but but into your arteries, etc, building up in your body in time. health problems may arise down the timeline.
