Opioids Injecting Heroin and Anti-histamines

While I realize there is an extensive thread on the subject of Suboxone and Anti-Histamines, I don't see much literature about combining a shot of benadryl or other antihistamine with heroin; is it worth it more than taking it orally? I'm aware of the harm-reduction information about shooting pills, etc, so save your fingers and don't type it.

I'm looking for first hand experiences please, thanks for your time.

Not trying to waste time, i know you're looking for advice, but I must say

WHY THE FUCK would you want to shoot antihistimines?

doesn't sound healthy at all...
 
i understand using it for bupe cause you don't get high unless you use anti-histamines, but i don't understand with heroin. what, the heroin alone isn't enough for you? come on, smarten the fuck up. anti-histamines+bupe is desperate but has its purpose. doing that with heroin is straight up stupid.
 
Injecting benadryl is extremely dangerous. Injecting promethazine can lead to amputations. Don't attempt. Just eat it.

That's not true; you can get very high on buprenorphine without antihistamines.

I would imagine because it potentiates the opiates and stops the histamine itchies and sickness. However this is providing you can safely shoot the anti histamines.

Personally I would just orally preload the anti-histamines 30 minutes before the shot.

The only people I've heard off that get high from sub (apart from you) are people with no habits.

To the overwhelming majority - bupe may as well be a sugar pill, as far as recreational use is concerned.

I've tried mixing my sub with promethazine (OTC in the UK) - and it did nothing. I don't think I would even bother trying to mix that shit with heroin.
 
There have been times I've contemplated adding antihistamines to dope if i don't have much left to try and make the shot better, but I never actually bothered trying it.
I figure, it's worth it for shooting bupe but if the heroin you get is at least half-decent you shouldn't need anti-histamines, so I never go through the trouble of filtering them to add to heroin. There just doesn't seem much of a point- it's a lot of work for a tiny rush you probably wouldn't even feel cuz the dope rush would be stronger than it anyway.
I don't know if that's helpful at all, I did see that you were looking for experiences...

Hmm.. I've done it before.. but I prefered to take the antihistamines orally a bit before I would dose as the rush was stronger w/o antihistamines obviously.
 
I have done this - 2x25mg promethazine tabs in a 1ml rig with my gear.

It burned the fuck out of my arm and my ex-favourite vein is now rock hard and I don't know if it will be usable again. The rush was good but not amazing (compared to heroin alone). I would rather shoot heroin without the battery acid, and stick to oral antihistamines, which work just fine.

If anyone does decide to try this, as I may well do again at some point, make sure you dilute that shit well, i reckon 5mls would take the sting out of it, or 3ml at least. And filter well, obviously.
 
Just swallow the benadryl there is absolutely no reason for anyone to even consider injecting benadryl, the notion is retarded to be frank. That's like asking about IVing Tylenol tablets.

On maintenance it is a challenge. You really need to be at 1-2mg daily for a chance at getting high or force yourself off of it until you are withdrawing a bit (very unpleasant but you do get high when you dose up).

So you did something completely retarded, fucked up your vein and should have learned your lesson, and now you plan on trying it AGAIN?

What the fuck is wrong with some people?

If you are going to shoot pills at least shoot ones that will get you high, not over the counter crap that will be the same if you swallow it. Not to mention you absolutely MUST filter any solution from pills very well to be remotely safe. If there is any cloudiness DO NOT inject it, the solution should be clear and free of all particles (you wonder why you clogged your vein... any particles will just get lodged there and get worse from things building around it or possibly causing an infection).

A good makeshift filter is to take an old syringe, pull the needle out, and stuff the barrel with cotton. Then backload your solution into the syringe and force it through the cotton. It should come out clear. Personally I do this 2-3 times and have my old needles setup with cotton packed in them for this purpose. It isn't perfectly safe but I think it is the next best thing to a micron filter. I keep posting this method because it really works and people should start adopting it since the reality is most users won't go through the trouble of ordering expensive hard to find microns. Everyone already has this stuff.
