injecting generic OC's

Is it true that you can only shoot name brand oxycontin? Are any generics ok for I.V. use? More specifically the 30 mg instant-release oxycodone from Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals with M on one side and 30 on the other??
 
Since they are roxis they are fine, but the mallinckrodt extended release oxycontin gel like a mother fucker
 
For the name brand Purdues, does anyone get better results without adding heat? Im still trying to figure this out. To me it seems like a lot is left without heat, but that could be fillers. Obviously, im fairly new to this route of administration so any info would be appreciated. Also, what is a micron filter?
 
One more thing, could someone please post a link to the "I.V. FAQ"? I've been searching forums and heard of this over and over, yet I can't seem to find it. I'd really appreciate that as well. Thanks
 
It's a very fine filter used to get rid of very small particles, commonly found in pills. Please don't use heat to IV your pills.

Thanks for the info. I have a few questions tho. First of all, why avoid heat? I've done it both ways and adding just a little heat seems to mix the solution more efficiently. Without any heat it just seems difficult to dissolve the oxycodone, even thought it's water soluble. What is the rationale for avoiding heat? Is it a safety issue? (By the way, I'm referring to the name brand Purdues 80s.)
Also, what would be a good method to avoid heat? (Besides just stirring the solution forever?) Oh, and where does one find a micron filter?

Adding heat only causes binder/filler to dissolve into your solution (not a good thing, not safe), oxycodone is very water soluble and thus, heat is simply not needed, and not recommended for safety reasons. Never use heat when prepping a pill for IV.

If you live in the US, I would say your best bet would be ordering from the internet. If your state has needle exchange programs nearby you may also want to check with them first.
 
I have the EXACT same question as the start of this thread...funny that I found it...I am using the V 48|12 ones manufactured by qualitest pharma....they are identical in consistency size and content as the mallinkrodt and others. I have seen someone try and inject them before and it was just like a funky blue colored water shot I was kinda skeptical upon seeing it...Moderator...when you say dont add heat you mean simply pedistal ( or crush) them and mix as best as you can? and dont use a lot of water since your not going to be able to cook any off? Isnt it also true that oxycodone and other synthetic opiates dissolve more completely in cold water? Thanks for any help and QUICK...i wanna know if i can rig these damnit!

injecting oxy is stupid, just swallow your pills on an empty stomach
