used to be a daily pot head for 8 years, quit cold turkey 4 months ago. cigs socially for 2-3 years about 5 years ago. of course i have an EXTENSIVE medical history (multiple serious cancers with the whole 9 yards of treatment), so i should probably take it easy on all my body parts lol.

i'm guessing now it's probably not a good idea to ever smoke anything again except weed on rare occasion.

i don't really like marijuana so that won't be a problem.

I know what I was saying...and I also know that just because you use a micron filter doesnt necessarily mean that you are 100% guaranteed to remove all the talc or shit from the solution.

For example, you could use the filter incorrectly,

or the micron filter could be damaged or over-used to the point that it effects its ability to filter.

there are many many other reasons as to why using a micron filter doesnt 100% guarantee you anything.

So once again, please get a better hobby than talking shit to me all day long.

just as an update... i do have symptoms of lung damage, i cough up a dark mucus, only very tiny amounts, and usually when I wake up in the morning, but it is there. I'm always congested anyway (in my sinuses from excessive use of mositurizing eye drops among other things) so I didn't notice at first, but over the past week it is becoming obvious... it's the sort of mucus that you get if you are sick, only i'm not sick, and it's very tiny amounts. on the plus side breathing seems to be normal though even with activity. not too pleased with myself, but that's how it goes. the important thing with the internet it to read more than one opinion. if i hadn't read an erroneous erowid report i doubt i'd be in this situation.

Coughing up mucus has man causes, so I wouldn't get too suspicious just yet.

There are specific risks to injecting hydrocodone, which have been previously discussed. It's still not a good idea because of that, however, the risks due to pill particles would be reduced (possibly completely, it depends on what inactive ingredients are in your pill(s)) due to micron filtering with a 0.2um filter.

A micron filter will just stop filtering liquid, and it'll essentially be impossible to filter any further. Unless you deliberately tried to fuck with it somehow, it's going to be just fine.

I use a Micron filter and a new 31G needle every single time but I don't use a new micron filter every time.... What is the best way to sterilize them after use.. or keep them sterile? I use 15mL sterile screw caps to filter like 3 days worth of whatever it is and after thats gone I do single shot preps re-using the micron and then I boil the single shot in a spoon to make up for the questionable sterility of the microm filter. I cant afford to use a new one every time cause they take up so much of the liquid up to half mL sometimes and they cost so much... re-useing them also allows me to keep pushing the liquid thru and getting more of it all out of the filters. I don't know anyone who can use a new filter every time and loose that much of the stuff and spend probably over 700$ a year on these things and the wasted solution would be astronomical! and rinsing new water thru them dosnt really do anything cause it dilutes it so much then I have to boil it down anyways so yeah I donno what to do! help me out here ppl I wanna be legit about this but I dont have a few grand to toss in the trash like that knowing that all my friends just boil and use cotton and have had no problems! Even doing the way that I do it I use like 5 filters a week and loose about 20$ worth of solution in the process so Im loosing 40$ a week to do this which is seriously like 20% of what I am making... not to mention all the sterile tubes I need to buy and stuff so it could be more. Its getting way too expensive but I have never not used a micron filter for the last few years so if its not completely clear I feel like im going to die if it goes in me.
