Misc injecting alcohol/hydrogen peroxide to disinfect

so a previous thread got me thinking, and no i havent tried this myself

but i was wondering if anyone has ever tried to inject themselves with any sort of solution in an attempt to disinfect the area of entry?

ive seen people use alcohol swabs and pour hydrogen peroxide on said area, but what would happen if these things were injected? has anyone ever tried anything like this? is it harmful? or beneficial?

just curious
 
no not at all i wanna know if anyone has tried this, i assume that it would be stupid but there are some crazy people out there, thanks for the helpful post

Umm. I'd be careful with that one.

I have added a bit of alcohol to a solution I was going to inject that I thought might be contaminated and try to sterilize it a bit. I wouldn't inject shit to kill infection if that's what you mean.
 
thank youuu yes thats what i was looking for, obviously i assumed alcohol was a huge nono..but i also have a few friends who have shot up vodka and shit so i cant be sure of all the other crazy things people have done
 
How would injecting that stop infection? Once it's injected it carried in the bloodstream..not sitting at the injection site cleaning bacteria away. What is your logic here?

Not to be debbie downer, but you probably shouldnt post stuff like that because you can never underestimate the stupidity of people. Someone may be dumb enough to actually try that ! lol
 
This is a harm reduction site.... injecting ethanol or peroxide =/= harm reduction.
