Heroin injecting #3

Curious, why do you need to add citric acid to #3 to inject it? What would happen if you just cooked it up like tar or china white and injected it?

It doesn't dissolve. So it would be a waste.

It's heroin base. As Bambooshoot said, it won't dissolve. Adding the citric acid makes it water soluble..
